It will be the same routine yesterday only without me having to leave at 4:30 class. That class is only on Mondays and Wednesdays and today is Thursday!
Here is the schedule for today. (all times eastern)
Game 2: Rockies @ Phillies 2:37 (Cook, 11-6 vs. Hamels, 10-11) (TBS - Brian Anderson and Joe Simpson, SR: David Aldridge)
Game 2: Cardinals @ Dodgers 6:07 (Wainwright, 19-8 vs. Kershaw, 8-8) (TBS - Dick Stockton and Bob Brenly, SR: Tom Verducci
Game 1: Red Sox @ Angels 9:37 (Lester, 15-8 vs. Lackey, 11-8) (TBS - Don Orsillo and Buck Martinez, SR: Marc Fein)
I guess I'm the lone ranger. Matt Holliday jacks one out, 1-0 Cards.
ReplyDeleteBrenly saying LaRussa told him Pujols and Holliday struggled late in September because they were going for personal milestones after clinching the division.
ReplyDeleteLudwick at 1st, 0 out.
ReplyDelete"Important to get points on the board early." Brenly meaning runs
Molina bloop single, 1st and 2nd.
ReplyDeleteDeRosa strikes out.
ReplyDelete6-4-3 double play gets the Dodgers out of the inning.
ReplyDeleteAnother 1-2-3 inning for Wainwright, 1-0 Cards after 2.
ReplyDeleteFull count to the pitcher Wainwright...flies out.
ReplyDeleteLugo dumps a double just inside the line.
ReplyDelete2 out, Pujols up, base open...Intentional walk
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteBlake spins and throws Holliday out to end the inning.
ReplyDeleteStockton pointed out Pujols has the most intentional walks in a season for a right-handed batter.
ReplyDeleteMy computer is burping again. 1-0 Cards, Bottom of 4th. 11 up, 11 down for Wainwright.
ReplyDeletePerfect game, no-hitter, shutout, and lead gone on one pitch. Ether homers, 1-1.
ReplyDeleteManny grounds out to Pujols to end the inning.
ReplyDeleteBrenly: "For those of you in the digital age who don't know what a clock is, it's a round thing that has numbers and the big hand points to the minutes and the little hand points to the hours"
ReplyDeleteStockton: "So thats what that is? Thanks for reminding me!"
Baseball broadcasting for idiots
I am never going to that ATDHE website again for free internet hockey streams. It is a virus machine.
ReplyDeleteBeh. I'm back and I have not even started those chapters. Miserable, miserable day for me.
ReplyDeleteSherrill's in. Kt must be happy!
ReplyDelete1 out to go for the Cardinals.
ReplyDeleteI'm watching the innagrual UFL game between the San Francisco team and the Las Vegas team.
ReplyDeleteJim Fassel and Dennis Green though are both wearing some sweat ass shirts. They look like professional bowlers.
Full count to Blake with 2 out.
ReplyDeleteDodgers win on a 9th inning walkoff basehit.
ReplyDeleteWhy couldn't the Phillies do that earlier today?
ReplyDelete/Bitter Phillies fan'd.
I hate the Dodgers.
ReplyDeleteIf the Phillies make the NLCS (and at this point, that's a huge IF), I think I'd rather play the Dodgers than the Cards. Sure the Dodgers can light you up offensively, but so can the Cards and I worry much more about Carpenter and Wainwright than I do the Dodgers starting pitchers.
ReplyDeleteYou follow the Dodgers much more than I do, do you think the Dodgers pitching staff this year should scare the Phillies?
@Yes they should scare the Phillies. They might not have a Lincecum or a Lee, but they have guys like Moyer. The type of guys who just keep grinding away and make location pitches.
ReplyDeleteThose are the guys that can frustrate a team. And a team like Philly, who strikes out a lot, they could get to the Phillies.
CB Bucknor just blew a call at first base. So let's see: terrible umpiring, terrible baserunning, & terrible fielding. MLB Postseason: I live for this.
ReplyDeleteAngels now threating in the 5th. 1st & 3rd 1 out.
ReplyDeleteTorii Hunter: 3 run bomb!
ReplyDelete3-0 Angels
damnit I'm going to party even if I'm the only one here...
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry kt. I hate both of these teams and refuse to watch the TBS broadcast because Orsillo is calling the game.
ReplyDeletePlus the Sharks game is on.
I understand Keith, but you're wrong about Orsillo. This is the best broadcast TBS has had so far.
ReplyDeletethe question must be asked: how much $ does CB Bucknor have riding on the Angels tonight? he just blew his second call at 1st base.
ReplyDelete@ kt1000: I can't stand Buck Martinez's voice. Besides, I have not really been watching. Other things outside the scope of sports have sort of gotten me into a shell and I'm not in the mood for baseball right now.
ReplyDeleteGreat full extension catch by Ellsbury!
ReplyDelete@JFein i'm sorry to hear about that. hope things get better.
ReplyDeleteas to Buck Martinez you build up an immunity after listening to him on your team's games for 6 years.
Two huge fights in the Sharks game tonight.
ReplyDeleteAlso I see Twitter is blowing up crushing CB.
and now the Angels have the sacks full and no one out...
ReplyDeletereally makes you wonder about the umpire "ratings" if hacks like CB,Angel Hernandez, and Balkin' Bob Davidson are umpiring in the playoffs.
Angel Campos was also umping a game. He sucks to.
ReplyDeletewow..a 5-2-5 double play....
ReplyDeletesingle for Morales! 1 in on the hit and a throwing error on Jason Bay plates another. 5-0 Angels
ReplyDeleteMorales Out at the plate! end of 7 at Anaheim!
ReplyDeleteDanny Heatley is making me forget about Jonathon Cheechoo.
ReplyDeleteAnd I never thought I would say that.
Heatley is a great player.
ReplyDeleteand Lackey is out after 7.1 innings of shutout ball.
ReplyDeleteMy cousin went to high school with Lackey in Abilene, Texas. They didn't know each other though.
ReplyDeletethats pretty much why everyone thinks he's a mortal lock to sign with Texas this offseason.
ReplyDeleteYep! I hate the man, because he shut out the Giants in Game 7 of the 02 World Series.
ReplyDeleteyou hold a grudge like an east coast fan!
ReplyDeleteTrust me kt, we hold grudges here in NoCal.
ReplyDeleteI'm still pissed about:
- Adam Walker's fumble against Green Bay in the playoffs in 95.
- The 02 World Series
- The 02 Western Conference Finals.
We hold grudges with the best of them.
5-2 Sharks against Columbus
ReplyDeleteAdam Walker was the one that kept the 49ers from repeating, right?
ReplyDelete@kt, yep
ReplyDeleteDanny Heatley just scored a hat trick for the Sharks. Hats are everywhere in the Shark Tank.
Angels win Game 1 5-0
ReplyDeleteHeatley was a great pickup for the Sharks, especially considering Cheechoo's collapse the past couple of years.
ReplyDeleteCheech was a fan favorite, but he needed a change of scenery.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes Heatley was a great pickup for Sharks.
good night Keith...i'm going to sleep
ReplyDeleteSee ya later, kt.
