(Note: Posting will be kind of light this week. Next Monday though I'll have a live blog up for all the New Year's bowl games.)
Last night was the first time all season I didn't watch a single minute of Monday Night Football. I didn't care for football last night. The NBA is back and league pass is free for the next couple of weeks. I watched basketball from 4 to 10 last night. I was especially excited for the Kings-Lakers game later that night.
The Kings last night would give me the best gift from Christmas with a victory over the Lakers. It was beautiful. Marcus Thornton scored almost as many points as Kobe Bryant with almost half as many shots. Demarcus Cousins played passionately and bugged soft Pau Gasol all night long. Jimmer played well in the first half but looked scared to shoot the ball in the 2nd and had to be pulled off the court.
This is the first time in a while I'm excited for the Kings. They're young and have depth, two very important keys for a short season like this one with multiple back-to-back games. I really do think the Kings could sneak into the playoffs this season as an 8th seed which would make me ecstatic because the Kings haven't been in the playoffs for a while.
For now though it's just great having the Kings and the NBA back in my life.

The Kings have too many players. They need to trade or cut about three players on this team. Those players will most likely be JT and Cisco.
ReplyDeleteSo happy to hear this news. For how many days I'm waiting for the NBA to be back once again. Thanks!
