Okay maybe the title is a little bit hyperbolic but it's not that far off. When I was driving in my car yesterday I heard a commercial for the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl at AT&T Park between Illinois and UCLA on KNBR. What was said was so ridiculous that I almost drove off the side of the road.
"Watch two great Big Ten and Pac-12 teams battle it out at the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl."
Talk about false advertisement. Since when did two teams that have already fired their coaches and found replacements are considered "great"? I understand that this bowl game has a hard time bringing attendance to this game because one of the teams is usually a ACC team. But they shouldn't lie through radio advertisement about the "greatness" of the teams participating in the game.
A more appropriate commercial would have been, "Watch two crappy Big Ten and Pac-12 teams square off to see how badly their former coaches screwed up their programs in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl." That would have been spot on advertisement.
Radio Commercial cost is a major factor in businesses.
