Well, we're finally here. ESPN's epic plan or fail, either way you look at it, finally takes place tonight. Mike Breen, Mark Jackson, and Jeff Van Gundy will call tonight's Wake Forest-UNC game while Dickie V calls an NBA game. Should be interesting, even though I'm looking forward to the Kansas-Baylor game. Both teams are ranked and it should be an interesting game. So leave comments, have fun, and no trolls.NBA

Last year Duke, this year UNC?
ReplyDeleteWhen are the NBA guys going to come to a real environment like Maryland, where we throw water bottles and quarters when we get pissed off?
That's why they don't want to go to Maryland. Van Gundy doesn't want a quarter bouncing off his bald head.
ReplyDeleteLOL at "former Nazareth star Jeff Van Gundy"
ReplyDeleteWhere the hell is Nazareth? I'm guessing it's somewhere on the East Coast.
ReplyDeleteacording to Google Nazareth College is in Rochester, NY
ReplyDeleteI figured it was in NY.
ReplyDeleteOT: We're having a major thunderstorm right now. The Sierra's are suppose to get up to like 10 feet of snow tonight.
i actually thought Nazareth was in PA, so i'm glad i looked it up
ReplyDeleteMike Breen is really into this game so far.
ReplyDeleteI actually enjoy listening to these guys. I think they do a great job for NBA games.
ReplyDeleteOT but wasn't City of Blinding Lights also ESPN's theme song for the last World Cup?
ReplyDeleteYou would have to ask Justin that. I don't know.
ReplyDeleteMaybe its just me, but I really don't think Mark Jackson adds much when these guys are together.
ReplyDeleteI know UNC has players injured, but they will be lucky to make the tournament this year. Having no guards is killing them.
ReplyDelete@Keith Yup. College Basketball is a guard's game and UNC has none. Where's Vitale bragging on Larry Drew now?
ReplyDeleteI don't think I go back to Vitale after listening to Van Gundy.
ReplyDeleteI used to really enjoy Vitale. But over the years, he's just worn me down. I don't enjoy listening to him at all.
ReplyDeleteWake looks better tonight than they did last week against Maryland.
ReplyDeleteAnd Vitale is still on because of his name. His performance in the Kentucky/Florida game last week totally disgusted me.
"Cuckoo for Coco Stuffs"- Karl Ravech
ReplyDeleteFAIL
OT but wasn't City of Blinding Lights also ESPN's theme song for the last World Cup?
ReplyDeleteYes, it was. IF you are commenting on what I think you are commenting on, it's always good to see ESPN recycle their stuff like this.....
I thought CoBL was the song, because it had just been released in 06.
ReplyDeleteThe more I see Ish Smith, the more I see another Chris Paul.
I like Smith more than I like Jeff Teague.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Van Gundy. Travis Booker is a monster player.
ReplyDelete+1 to Mark Jackson's Vitale impersonation
Ish Smith just ended this game with that 3...
I can't wait to watch the Kansas-Baylor game. One of the better games this week.
ReplyDeleteJeff Van Gundy is great: while riffing on Chas McFarland calling himself "Chase"
ReplyDelete"It has to be spelled phonetically. I can't spell my name J-E-F-F and call myself Mark."
oh shit. its Tim Brando on this Duke-NC State game
ReplyDeleteOT Gossip Girl for Duke. I imagine there will be some outrage in Baltimore right now.
Baylor doesn't has the depth to keep picking up fouls like they are.
ReplyDeleteBaylor and Kansas tied.
ReplyDeleteNC State is playing the game of their lives tonight.
ReplyDelete"Wood....Bringing the wood!"- Tim Brando
ReplyDeleteNC State 69 Duke 56 7:49 to go
ReplyDeleteGo Nova!
ReplyDeleteWe beat Rutgers 92 to 68.
Make that 94-68 Nova.
ReplyDeleteDuke now trails by 8
ReplyDeleteDuke still losing?
ReplyDeleteKansas-Baylor are tied.
"Play a little nylon solo Javier!"- Tim Brando after a 30 footer at the shot clock buzzer
ReplyDeleteNC State is going to upset Duke
Kansas-Baylor coming down to the wire. Kansas leads by 2 with 1:24 left.
ReplyDeleteLOL DUKE!
ReplyDeleteAlthough down by 10 with 2 minutes left, kt will tell you that that game is not over yet.
/Gone in 60 Seconds'd
Ron Franklin almost went Billy Packer. He quickly rescinded what he said.
ReplyDeleteLOL Singler...that Duke flop will not work standing under the basket anymore!
ReplyDeleteThis game is ovah...
NC State 88 Duke 74 Final
ReplyDeleteThat is NC State's 1st win against Duke since 2004
ReplyDeletei hope Dickie V is able to survive when he hears the news
@ kt: And what about Mike Patrick??? He must be on suicide watch now....both UNC and Duke lost on the same night. What a catastrophe!
