Poinsettia Bowl Open Thread

Game: SDCCU Poinsettia Bowl

Teams: Utah vs. California

Location: Qualcomm Stadium, San Diego, California

Start Time: 8:00 PM ET

Network and Announcers: (ESPN- Mike Patrick, Craig James, SR: Heather Cox)

Favorite: Cal +3

49er16's Pick: Utah

Blogs: California Golden Blogs and Block U

Misc: Five things to watch in the Poinsettia Bowl

Random Thoughts: I'm picking Utah in this game because you never know what Cal team is going to show up. Will the Cal team show up that came from behind to beat both Stanford and Arizona or will the Cal team show up that lay eggs against Oregon, USC, and Washington. You never know with this Cal team.

How well Cal does depends on how well quarterback Kevin Riley does. Riley has been inconsistent at best this season. When he's making his throws that frees up the running game. When he's not making his throws, the Cal offense goes into a complete stand still. If Riley can get some great pass protection and if he see's the field, then Cal should win this game. Whatever way this game goes, depends on Kevin Riley.

Now leave comments. No trolls allowed.
