Russell a bust?

Oakland Raiders quarterback JaMarcus Russell has been called out lately. And now people are wondering if he is already a bust. And his off-field antics haven't help him.

Last week Russell blew off an interview with the crew of the NFL Network. Then he was called out about it on national television. Then after the game, he did an interview in a white fur coat and didn't seem disappointed in his poor play. The performance was horrible.

He threw two interceptions and had a passer rating of 42.o.

While Russell hasn't started many games, his attitude and performance has already put him under the microscope. Fans are calling into local talk shows saying that he is indeed a bust. I blame the culture of the Raiders right now.

The Raiders as a franchise is a loser. And the players take up that attitude. The Clippers were losers for a long time. And the players took up the culture of the franchise. The current Raiders players are taking up that attitude.

There were reports that Russell and linebacker Kirk Morrison were seen laughing and rough housing. While not all of the Raiders were not playing around, the majority was.

They are only exhibiting what the team has become. A joke. So I wouldn't label Russell a "bust" yet, but I would only give him one more year.
