I Guess Cubs Games are Boring

The Cubs actually won last night but it wasn't exactly exciting. A 2-1 victory that lasted over 3 hours and didn't end until a walkoff by Nate Schierholtz. So can you really blame the out of town scoreboard operator for falling asleep?

Poor guy. The Cubs are so boring they're putting him to sleep. Hopefully the Ricketts family doesn't fire him for falling asleep on the job.

Last night Anderson Cooper interviewed disgraced Clippers owner Donald Sterling and it went about as well as you would expect. Sterling's shot at Magic Johnson was especially enlightening. The best moment though involved Donald Sterling watching Michael Sam kiss his boyfriend on TV.

Okay fine that didn't happen but it would have been hilarious.

Sterling and his former wife(?) aren't going away though. The fight is just beginning and hopefully the owners and the league are prepared to fight these two scumbags.

Caption Contest: Even Barry Zito's Wedding Pictures Are Ridiculous

Giants albatross Pitcher Barry Zito got married last Saturday to the former Miss Missouri Amber Seyer. In true Zito style, Amber and him took one of the most ridiculous wedding picture I've ever seen.

I see this picture and only imagine this conversation taking place.

Amber: Let's take a photo with you holding me in your arms and we're looking back at the camera.
Zito: Sure this will be fun.
Amber: We're going to have these pictures forever.
Zito: (Starring in the distance) Oh I see a breakfast buffet! Eggs and Avocado for me! 
Amber: Wait Barry. We have to take the rest of these photos.
Zito: (Zito loading up his plate with Eggs and Avocados) I'm stealing $126 million dollars from the Giants. We can dress up any day and take "Wedding photos".

Not only did Dallas lose to Philadelphia at home, but their own player Tashard Choice asked for Michael Vick's autograph at the end of the game. I know in the scope of things that's nothing, but it's kind of embarrassing a player is asking for an opposing player's autograph at the end of the game.

Today is the slowest sports day of the year. It's one of few days during the year where there are no sports being played. So as you could imagine, this is a slow day for sports blogs. That is until I found this picture of past British Open winners.
