Game 7, great series between great teams. Hopefully the game will live up to the hype. This is your open thread. Leave comments and don't act like a troll.
Same here. If Spurs weather the early Heat storm, they'll be fine. If Lebron loses, he's just going to be another Wilt and there's nothing wrong with that. I don't get the MJ comparisons, Lebron is more like Wilt.
Heat turning the ball over giving the Spurs extra possessions don't help. And Spurs making an effort to get inside and go to the line with a whistle happy crew.
In 1997, the entire Bulls bench was on the floor with 2 seconds to go. I spent a month convinced they should have had 10 technical fouls assessed to them.
I'm rooting for the Spurs, but I have a feeling this is going to be a Heat blow out by the end of the game.

ReplyDeleteI'm more worried about the Heat storm when San Antonio goes to the bench. The Splitter/Manu combo out there is when the Heat goes on their big runs.
DeleteOh god. I don't want to use that bench. The last time a road team won a NBA Finals Game 7, 1978.
DeleteThis should be good.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what my gut feeling is yet until I see how Manu looks at first and how long Pop keeps him in the game.
ReplyDeleteI just hope the Spurs don't pull a Kings in game 7 and forget to grab rebounds and how to shoot FT's.
ReplyDeleteI wish Rene Rancourt could sing every national anthem for every big game.
ReplyDeleteWhere did they find this kid from?
ReplyDeleteMiami
Delete#insight
DeleteI would trade Jesse Williams for Craig Sager every time. Heck, I'd trade him for courtside with Regis Pierre McGuire.
ReplyDelete/Heat fans leave
ReplyDeleteI love a good 1978 Bullets reference.
ReplyDeleteWes Unseld ate his afro.
DeleteOMG that Duncan fast break.
ReplyDeleteLike a Bosh.
DeleteI can't believe none of you were interested in Joe Blanton's start on Tuesday night.
ReplyDeleteMissin u, Cookies.
DeleteI can't stop gauging my ears when Buck Martinez talks about TWTW.
ReplyDeleteCan't Lone Ranger come out already for we don't have to watch these promos?
ReplyDeleteGary Neal has never seen a shot he doesn't like.
ReplyDeleteTony Parker has the looks of the man who has mentally checked out. He needs to stop worrying about something.
ReplyDeleteDefense dominating so far.
ReplyDeleteI hope to hell these teams get over their jitters sooner rather than later.
ReplyDeleteIf this game keeps up the way it's played out so far, I'm turning on the Marlins-Giants game.
ReplyDeleteHere's the Splitter/Manu lineup. Here comes the big Heat run.
ReplyDeleteTold you
DeleteBest lineup for the Heat is when Bosh & Wade are riding the pine.
DeleteRight you are longley.
DeleteSo, why are they projecting images of the Spurs on the side of AA Arena again?
ReplyDeleteI still hate Battier, even after all these years.
ReplyDeleteThere comes a point I much rather play Bonner than Splitter.
ReplyDeleteBonner would force Bosh to stay on him. Surprised, Pop hasn't gone to him more often.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad Carl Ripken had time for tonight's game.
ReplyDeleteCal Ripken has morphed into a Miami cougar.
ReplyDeleteFree Matt Bonner!
ReplyDeleteThe problem with Bonner though is his defense isn't very good.
DeleteOnly downside but I hide him on Bosh.
Delete3rd foul on Bosh. An interesting development.
ReplyDeleteOne of these teams are going to go on a big run to seal the deal.
ReplyDeleteNEAL!
ReplyDeletethat was neat
ReplyDeleteStop stealing from Michael Cole, Breen.
ReplyDeleteUgly half
ReplyDeleteThis game is slowly picking up steam. Spurs are going to have to knock down a few 3's in the 2nd half.
ReplyDeleteHeat turning the ball over giving the Spurs extra possessions don't help. And Spurs making an effort to get inside and go to the line with a whistle happy crew.
ReplyDeleteJalen Rose: "More convo next"
ReplyDeleteThey need a host badly. Rose is an embarrassment.
Magic:"If the stars of the Heat play well and stars of Spurs play well ..watch out"
ReplyDelete/And you people want to get rid of Simmons?
I love Bill Simmons. I think he's the best one there...by a mile on ESPN.
ReplyDeleteI so miss the crispness of the Michigan/Louisville championship game.
ReplyDeleteGET OFF JVG'S FOOTBALL FIELD!
ReplyDeleteI so miss Marv ragging on Reggie's awfulness.
ReplyDeleteThat was terrible from Danny Green. He needs a pull up mid-range jumper.
ReplyDeleteJohn Starks can't believe what he's seeing from Danny Green in this game.
ReplyDeleteI would love to go back and laugh at each person that had him as Finals MVP.
DeleteFree Matt Bonner!
DeleteFree T-Mac
Delete"How long do you ride Danny Green?" - JVG
ReplyDeleteFINALLY
ReplyDeleteToo much dribbling by Parker.
ReplyDeleteIf the Spurs win Kawhi Leonard will probably not be MVP and that makes me so sad.
ReplyDeleteLBJ is here to take the game over.
ReplyDeleteI'm getting a little tired of Patty Mills waving that damn towel.
ReplyDeleteNEVER MIND BORIS DIAW FOR MVP
ReplyDeleteManu has been effective tonight. Bosh hasn't. That's going to be the difference.
ReplyDeleteThe defense in this game has been absolutely phenomenal.
ReplyDeleteI'm not used to watching this type of defense in Sacramento......
DeleteSame here in Toronto.
DeleteI'm used to watching it in Philadelphia. Too bad the offense was a dull parade of long 2s and Spencer Hawes long 2s and 3s.
DeleteWith the Kings it was hero ball by everyone. Seriously they never heard of passing.
DeleteDoug Collins never met an ISO he didn't like
DeleteEven Bill Russell is bored with this game.
ReplyDeleteOh god, not the rerun of the Raps/Wiz with the blow horn. Damn, clock is fixed.
ReplyDeleteOH MY!
ReplyDeleteOkay here we go.
ReplyDeleteLast quarter of the season. Can't hold anything back now.
ReplyDeleteSan Antonio has been terrible grabbing rebounds.
ReplyDeleteBattier finally missed. I'm celebrating.
ReplyDeletePop open the champagne.
DeleteThank goodness. That Dookie.
DeleteI think Kris lost his pants over that Battier miss.
ReplyDeleteClear path foul is the right call there.
ReplyDeleteThis game is over. Heat win.
ReplyDeleteThis is over. Keith called it.
ReplyDeleteBench Parker. You have to, he's clearly effected by Lebron and a liability on D.
ReplyDeleteAnd have Manu play the point? C'mon man.
DeleteManu and Neal just as bad.
DeleteKRIS WEEPS
ReplyDeleteCorrect that, bench Danny Green.
ReplyDeleteSwap Diaw for Green. Better match ups, period.
DeleteThis game is so awesome.
ReplyDeleteIt's 2001 all over again...
ReplyDeleteKAWHI LEONARD!
ReplyDeleteDammit Green
ReplyDeleteBad time for a heat check, Leonard.
ReplyDeleteDammit Duncan
ReplyDeleteWe're going to remember that missed bunny by Duncan.
ReplyDeleteWhy didn't Green shoot it wide open? He should be benched.
ReplyDeleteEveryone will remember Duncan, Green giving up an open three in inexcusable. Cost them the game.
ReplyDeleteGoodnight San Antonio.
ReplyDeleteEvil wins. Evil always wins.
ReplyDeleteI am so baffled by that Green play still. Open three and passes it up.
ReplyDeleteChalmers totally traveled before the clock expired.
ReplyDeleteNot like the Spurs had a 8 point play ready to go.
DeleteI know, just thought it was funny.
DeleteIn 1997, the entire Bulls bench was on the floor with 2 seconds to go. I spent a month convinced they should have had 10 technical fouls assessed to them.
