    1. I feel fine. Looking forward to the games this morning.

  2. Desmond Howard was crapping on 6-6 Purdue for playing in a game today. Um Desmond, it's because of your network that Purdue plays in a game today.

  3. I'm surprised the Stanford band didn't mock the Newton tragedy at the Rose Parade because they're just that crappy.

    1. They're the worst. I remember when they made fun of the Potato Famine in a game against Notre Dame.

    2. I am dreading the day when Stanford makes fun of the Utes. It won't be pretty.

      Delete
    3. The Band, that is.

      Delete
    4. They've already made fun of BYU and Polygamy. I think the Utes are safe.

      Delete
    5. The funny thing from them would probably be if they make fun of the Ute Indian tribe. I may not have a degree from Stanford, but at least I know irony when I see it.

      Delete
    6. They can't make fun of the Utes. They were once called the Indians and had a logo like Chief Wahoo.

      Delete
    7. Correct, but I think it would be funny if not a little annoying to watch them try it.

  4. PURDUE FAKE PUNT!

  5. Robert Marve was being recruited the same time Tebow was. Think about that for a second.

  6. Gotta love a bowl game being sponsored by a site called TaxSlayer.com. Sounds totally legit.

    1. EscrowDestroyer.com is a much better choice anyways.

  7. I like anyone named Kain Colter.

  8. Purdue gonna Purdue

    ReplyDelete
  9. I'm pretty sure Kain Colter was a character in the comic book "Thor".

    ReplyDelete
  10. Remember when Miss State was ranked like 10th in the nation? Good times.

    ReplyDelete
  11. These two games have been pretty brutal thus far.

  14. Michigan-South Carolina can't start soon enough.

    ReplyDelete
  15. THIS GUY GRUDEN LOVES SHOELACES

    ReplyDelete
  16. In 3...2.......1 Spurrier starts running up the score on Michigan.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Meanwhile the Capital One Bowl has not even kicked off yet.

    ReplyDelete
  18. If I was Samantha Steele, I wouldn't have changed my last name to "Ponder".

    ReplyDelete
  19. The US Grant library is at Miss State? I know Vicksburg was his greatest campaign but that still doesn't make sense.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Meanwhile CLANGA is only down three.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Northwestern is gonna blow that game, aren't they?

      Delete
  21. Nebraska lead HAHAHAHAHAHAHHA. You can't go wrong with the Capital One Bowl right now.

    ReplyDelete
  22. This Georgia-Nebraska game has gone HAM

    ReplyDelete
  23. The Credit Card bowl is the best game so far.

    ReplyDelete
  24. No truth to the rumor that the winner of the Heart of Dallas Bowl receives Jerry Jones' actual heart?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Michigan: How do we cover?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. They miraculously covered the 5.5 spread. Both teams couldn't convert a 2 point convert if their lives depended on it.

      Delete
  26. Compared to last year, this is setting up to be a very unexciting Rose Bowl. 5 loss Wisconsin. Plodding and (at times) boring Stanford. THE GRANDDADDY OF ALL BOREFESTS!

    ReplyDelete
  27. CLANGA has tied it up in Jacksonville.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Taylor Martinez would make an excellent Raiders QB.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Replies
    1. Mississippi State. The Clanga is the noise the Miss State fans cowbells make.

      Delete
  30. And I thought listening to Gruden call NFL games was bad. He's worse with college football.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Slightly off-topic, but congrats to Keith and the dominoes falling for his 49ers on Sunday- win division AND get the 2 seed!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. It was a good Sunday. The Niners need rest.

    1. You went there, didn't you? *scowls*

      Delete
    2. Sorry, but he just screams "Raiders QB".

      Delete
    3. At this point, my sole hope is that McKenzie will get some pieces in place to turn things around. He may not, but at least now there's a chance, unlike the twilight of Al's tenure.

      Delete
  33. If Martinez was drafted by the Raiders this spring, I'd pick them to sweep the Chiefs again in '13

    1. What happens if Pioli picks Martinez first?

      Delete
    2. Well, it would make for a great rushing three-headed monster with Charles and Hillis.

If he's available in the later rounds, pair him up with a #1 pick at QB and you have a decent offensive core

      Delete
  34. Another Northwestern TD. Sad CLANGA is sad.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Both Georgia and Nebraska left their defenses at home.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I am going out with relatives now. I'll talk to you later tonight some time during the second half of the Rose Bowl probably.

    ReplyDelete
  37. CLANGA State is coming back.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Clanga arm punt. About his 100th of the day.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Clanga State is Tennessee in disguise! #15MenOnTheField

    ReplyDelete
  40. Clanga almost threw the 5th INT.

    ReplyDelete
  41. The last time Northwestern won a bowl game, the Toronto Maple Leafs were the best team in hockey

    ReplyDelete
  42. Will Clark is not happy with your effort, Miss State.

    ReplyDelete
  43. This South Carolina-Michigan game has gone HAM.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Capital One Bowl, save for Bama-Michigan State 2 years ago, has routinely been a competitive game with back-and-forth action

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. The only competition in the Penn State-LSU COB was what team would wind up with the most mud on their uniforms.

  45. Clowney just murdered Gardner.

    ReplyDelete
  46. This Outback Bowl has been something.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Man, the Rose Bowl is gonna have a tough act to follow after these Outback and Capital One Bowls.

    ReplyDelete
  48. It may be painful to watch Gruden call these games, but Tirico has been calling plenty of BCS games. He's good at this + has bowl experience.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Cardinals are on the verge or hiring Andy Reid. If the Bills don't hire Lovie...

    ReplyDelete
  50. TOUCHDOWN GAMECOCKS! MY GOODNESS! WHAT A GAME!

    ReplyDelete
  51. "It's like tag team wrestling" This Guy Gruden is a legend.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Oh yea, Andy Reid will visit Philly next season if he coaches Zona.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Watch Wisky win this game just because Alvarez is coaching.

    ReplyDelete
  54. It's not too late to replace Millen with Gruden tonight.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. That's like replacing crabs with gonorrhea.

      Delete
  55. I may not watch this game entirely- have no 100 percent interest in 5 loss Wisky vs. boring, plodding Stanford.

I'll be in and out for this game, but I'll be back for the Orange Bowl.

    ReplyDelete
  56. It's a pretty safe bet if you bet the under for this game & the over for the Fiesta Bowl.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Damn, they couldn't import Hochuli's gym partner from the Outback Bowl where all you need for a first down is 9 yards & 11 inches.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hochuli's kid could be officiating the national championship game.

  58. If Wisconsin wins, Tom Rinaldi will somehow make Barry Alvarez cry like he did with his English Students and Handball team when he was a high school teacher.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Luck can make a freight train take an dirt road.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Brent clearly took the under. He's already worried.

    ReplyDelete
  61. This is a strange duo. Arnold & Johnny Knoxville. They shouldn't have a last stand period.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Wisconsin is going to get hammered, aren't they?

    ReplyDelete
  63. Wisky is going for the triple. As in 3 straight Rose Bowl losses.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Wisky is going to need more furd penalties to get back into this game.

    ReplyDelete
  65. This ref is going to the school of Hochuli moving the chains hand gestures.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Wisky helped out by another Stanford penalty. I love Brent trying to build this up, but barring a miracle Wisconsin is going down harder then Nebraska went in the B1G Championship Game.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I guess I'll be listening to the radio then.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Thankfully the Cantina keeps the TV on mute.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Kenny Albert on Twitter congratulated his crew on Twitter & Billick on the Eisen Podcast said he has a divisonal game.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Wisky has to go for it here.

    ReplyDelete
  71. It feels weird not watching the Rose Bowl on ABC.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Wisky ain't dead yet.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Wonder which drunk broad that will be on Tiger Woods' sight tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  74. My favorite Stanford moment was when Tiger was booed at Stanford Stadium by Cal fans loudly, and then a couple of days later he hit that fire hydrant.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Chances are that of the five B1G teams competing today, the only team that exits a winner is Northwestern. Gotta love the B1G.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Monsters University > These two teams

    ReplyDelete
  77. And the dream of Tom Rinaldi making Barry Alvarez cry is still on.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Surprisingly decent game thus far.

And now Tom Rinaldi will introduce Barry Alvarez to an impoverished Wisconsin kid who never stopped believing the Badgers would make the Rose Bowl.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Stanford band is saying FU New York with that acronym.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Stanford band in a nutshell. Blonde drumming on a kitchen sink & a dude wearing a legalize pot shirt.

    ReplyDelete
  81. The Jets acquiring Vick would be the most Jets move.

    1. I will die laughing if anyone actually trades for him.

  82. I guess Brent is "invested" on Wisconsin.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Very few football fields look better than the Rose Bowl as the sun sets.

    ReplyDelete
  84. I wonder if Alvarez and Bo Ryan go ice fishing together?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Alvarez always gets mad though when Ryan poisons the lake.

  85. John Cooper just lost to Michigan again.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Maryland is going to fit right in with the rest of the B1G.

    ReplyDelete
  87. 17-14? Yep, sounds like I didn't miss much.

    ReplyDelete
  88. "Stanford pours on the field" Brent describing what he's doing tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  89. All that Pac 12 firepower, and who ends up topping the conference? Boring, plodding, slow Stanford.

    ReplyDelete
  90. This comment has been removed by the author.

  91. Wisconsin has now lost three straight Rose Bowls. One more and they'll have gone the full Buffalo Bills. Never go the full Buffalo Bills.

    ReplyDelete

    1. The joy of being a Bills fan. Our greatest accomplishment is our greatest curse.

      Delete
  92. Matt Millen for the Orange Bowl. God damn it.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Let's hope this is 2007 Fiesta Bowl good, and not 2008 Sugar Bowl horrible. I'm still bitter about that one.

      Delete
    2. At least it's got Tessitore and a massive underdog story.

      Delete
    3. And Tess has seen lots of MACtion. He'll be right at home.

      Delete
  93. The 2008 Sugar Bowl was a case of getting stuck with Georgia because the Rose Bowl went with tradition and Big 10/Pac10 instead of the better teams.

If they flip-flopped Georgia and Illinois, we'd have gotten a better Sugar BOwl.

    ReplyDelete
  94. I get the feeling FSU has everything to lose- lot of pressure is on them, considering how some people haven't warmed up to NIU in the Orange Bowl.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Even the people in the Orange Bowl didn't want them.

      Delete
    2. Yep, without the anti-corruption rules, no doubt Georgia would be playing FSU in this game.

      Delete
    3. What Longley said. Not even the Orange Bowl wanted NIU in the Orange Bowl.
      http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/ncaaf-dr-saturday/orange-bowl-official-reportedly-tells-niu-didn-t-230626311--ncaaf.html

Contrary to what Kirk Herbstreit tried to tell you on the BCS Selection Show, NIU got in thanks to rule designed to prevent the BCS from being used sued for violation of anti-trust laws. There was no choice. They, essentially, automatically qualified thanks to the Big East sucking and Nebraska getting absolutely lambasted by Wisconsin in the B1G title game.

      Delete
  95. I sound crazy but Clemson is a much better team than Florida St.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Can we extend this open blog to the 76ers/Lakers game later tonight?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I'll be in the game thread at Liberty Ballers for the Sixers game, provided I even stay awake for the whole thing.

      Delete
  97. Florida State is doing what Northern Illinois should be doing.

    ReplyDelete
  98. It's just a matter of time before FSU runs NIU out of Dolphins Stadium.

    ReplyDelete
  99. That was a nice pooch punt from Lynch, but I really wish Northern Illinois would have attempted to get the first down there. They can't keep trading punts with Florida State.

    ReplyDelete
  100. You want a good joke. Check out Jose Canceco's Twitter feed right now.

    ReplyDelete
  101. This will be an interesting review.

    ReplyDelete
  102. These officials have odd standards of pass interference.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Greatest start to a basketball OT ever in the UConn/Marquette game.

    ReplyDelete
  104. And that might be game over for NIU.

    ReplyDelete
  105. EJ Manuel keeping the Huskies in this game.

    ReplyDelete
  106. "He should spray paint his leg, he's got a golden leg" Millen

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Millen would probably pick him in the 1st round.

      Delete
  107. JaVale McGee just hit a buzzer beater. It was for three. I wish I was making this up.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Perfect time for the onside kick. Just perfect.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Now we got a surprise onside recovery by NIU. Tess magic is here.

    ReplyDelete
  110. And he throws a pick. Nothing to see here.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Sometimes it's better to live another day. Jordan Lynch didn't get that memo & panicked.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Lynch had a man open at the 15-yard line on that INT. Must not have seen him.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hangs in the pocket a bit longer, he probably has him. Looking to run too soon.

      Delete
  113. Jimbo Fisher is calling a terrible game on O. They are dominating with the run yet they pass.

    ReplyDelete
  114. NIU is showing well, but Florida State is just too good.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Good being very relative in this case. Clemson is so much better than FSU.

      Delete
    2. They drew Clemson at home. Lucked out not having to travel there, would of lost badly.

      Delete
  115. Finally Jimbo comes to his senses and runs the ball. And they score a touchdown.
