I'm a sports radio junkie and I know one other person who reads this blog is a junkie as well. *Cough, RJBO, cough* So sports radio junkies will enjoy this clip as it was 10 years in March when the Yes Network decided to broadcast the old WFAN radio show 'Mike & the Mad Dog'. Enjoy.
Amazing that on the first day Mike & the Mad Dog were on the Yes Network the big news of the day was the New York Rangers acquiring Pavel Bure. This fact is amazing because one of the biggest criticisms of the Mike & the Mad Dog show was their ignorance toward hockey.
Sadly the Mike & the Mad Dog show doesn't exist anymore. Mike is still on air at WFAN and the Yes Network, but the Mad Dog is in the purgatory known as satellite radio. So pour one out for the Mike & the Mad Dog when you're listening to your favorite sports radio show today.

Liked the two of them mentioning the Giants/Yanks series in June of that year. If memory serves, the Giants took 2 of 3
ReplyDeleteI remember Bonds crushed a couple of home runs that year in Yankee Stadium.
ReplyDeleteDo I have to disavow my "sports radio junkie" status if I never heard their show or seen their simulcasts? Will Wob Parker come and rip up my card or do I have to send it to someone?
ReplyDeleteSo pour one out for the Mike & the Mad Dog when you're listening to your favorite sports radio show today.
/For 'Stoney & Wojo' and 'Jamie & Gregg,' too. #WDFNHeyDays
@RJBO: No, because quite frankly their show was kinda boring.
