Foul Ball: A Typical Coors Field Game

Colorado 9, Los Angeles 7: This was one of those Rockies games that give NL West opponents cold sweats. The Dodgers jumped out to a 4-0 lead only to give up three runs in the sixth to make the game 4-3. The Dodgers would score three runs in the seventh, only to give up five runs to in that inning then another three runs to the Rockies in the next inning. This is one of the rare times I feel sorry for the Dodgers because as a Giants fan, I know about those type of Coors Field games a little too much.

Florida 2, Atlanta 3: The ankle breakers have now lost eight straight games. Couldn't have happened to a classier team.  Jair Jurrjens went seven innings giving up six hits and two runs. Jurrjens also singled in the game winning run in the seventh inning. Not a bad night for him.

Detroit 4, Seattle 1: Doug Fister was pitching pretty well in this game until the seventh inning happened. Fister gave up RBIs to Alex Avila and Don Kelly before giving up a two-run home run to Brennan Boesch. That would be all the runs Justin Verlander would need as he went eight innings giving up five hits, one run, and striking out ten.

Chicago 9, Oakland 4: The A's fired their manager, but got the same result on the field. Adam Dunn and Paul Konerko each hit two-run home runs to give the A's their tenth straight loss. Mark Buehrle gave up three runs in seven innings, but against the A's it didn't matter.

Philadelphia 3, Chicago 4, 11 Innings: Geovany Soto tied the game in the ninth inning with a solo home run. Then Tyler Colvin hit the game-winning home run only it wasn't. Colvin's home run was overturned by the umpires because of fan interference. Colvin would have the last laugh though as he scored the game-winning run in the eleventh inning off a Placido Polanco throwing error.

Minnesota 5, Texas 4: Alexi Casilla broke the Rangers hearts, just like he did to the Tigers in 2009, with a game-winning hit in the bottom of the ninth with two outs.

San Francisco 0, Cincinnati 3: I'm highlighting this game because I want everyone to know how bad the Giants offense is. Madison Bumgarner gave up one run in seven innings and picked up the loss. The Giants had three great scoring chances and stranded runners. Of course two of those scoring chances there was no outs and they still couldn't score a run. This offense is painfully awful to watch and quite frankly, makes you sick to your stomach.

Kansas City 3, Toronto 2: Jeff Francoeur was the hero in this game driving in two runs in the third inning. Luke Hochevar picked up the win going seven innings and Ricky Romero picked up the loss despite throwing a complete game.
