Ozzie Guillen Quote: My first Ozzie quote of the year! From the AP recap: “Crazy game. Very crazy game,” White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen said. “Both sides. But thank God we win.” No. Thank God for you, Ozzie.
St. Louis 1 Pittsburgh 3: Break up the Pirates. The Bucs have started the year 4-2 with all four of those victories on the road were they struggled badly last year. Kevin Correia once again came up big for Pittsburgh going seven innings scattering five hits and allowing no runs. Neil Walker hit his second home run of the year and Joel Hanrahan picked up his fourth save of the year.
Tampa Bay 1 Anaheim 5: The Rays are still winless on the season and for the fourth game out of five only scored run run. I don't think the Rays will repeat as AL East champions again. Just a hunch.
Texas 7 Seattle 3: While the Rays can't win a game, the Rangers can't lose. The Rangers have now started the year 6-0 with a sweep over the Mariners. Nelson Cruz continues his hot streak with two RBIs for the day and the Mariners helped the Rangers score two other runs because of errors. And Adrian Beltre did this in the game.
San Diego 4 San Francisco 8: The Giants finally got a break against the Padres. Instead of San Diego scoring runs on bloop and infield hits, it was the Giants. Buster Posey hit his first home run of the year to go along with four RBIs and Aubrey Huff added three RBIs. Tim Lincecum struck out 13 batters in seven innings. Of course the Giants bullpen had to make things interesting in the ninth inning but thankfully closed out the Friars.
Cleveland 8 Boston 4: Along with the Rays, the Red Sox are also still winless on the season losing another game to the Indians in front of nobody. Asdrubal Cabrera had four RBIs, a home run, and two hits in the game for the Indians to go along with a two-run home run from Shin-Soo Choo. The good news for Boston is that their two free agent acquisitions played good games. The bad news, their returning players stunk including starting pitcher Dice-K.
Baltimore 3 Detroit 7: Well Baltimore the perfect season is dead. The Good news is that you're still in first place. Detroit starter Justin Verlander shut down the Orioles in eight innings giving up four hits and three runs while also striking out nine. Alex Avila had a huge game for the Tigers hitting a home run and knocking in five of Detroit's seven runs. Like every other team opening the season at home, the Orioles saw a huge drop-off in attendance. Like a 34,000 drop-off.

Video of the Day: I love the Beach Boys, but the Minnesota Twins have definitely ruined 'Help Me Rhonda' for me.
