Video of the Day: This Video Might Not Be Suitable for Minors

Beb Fanelli, a 16-year-old OHL hockey player from the Kitchener Rangers, suffered "skull and facial fractures" and is in serious but stable condition. Michael Liambas of the Erie Otters, who delivered the hit on Fanelli, has been suspended for the rest of the season.

"Players must understand they shall be held accountable for their actions," OHL commissioner David Branch said in a statement. "We must all work towards improving the level of respect players have towards opposing players and the game in general."
From all accounts, Liambas is a good kid who made a terrible decision. I hope this hit doesn't affect him for the rest of his life, while I also hope Fanelli can fully recover and skate once again. Let this be a cautionary tale though. One little decision can turn into one huge mistake. (I sound like my Mom now.)
