Foul Ball: Kung Fu Fighting!

Foul Ball is your daily baseball recap

The White Sox-Tigers game was postponed due to rain.

1 Mets 0 Phillies: And I thought Giants-Rockies was a boring series. There where 1 run and 5 hits combined in this game. Of course the only reason why the Mets won is because Johan Santana was pitching and because Pedro Feliz sucks. Santana pitched seven innings giving up no runs and two hits. A Pedro Feliz's throwing error allowed Carlos Delgado to score the only run of the game. The Phillies wasted a great performance by Kung Fu Master Chan Ho Park.

9 Indians 2 Red Sox: Wait for it Yankees fans, Carl Pavano had another strong pitching performance and beat the Red Sox. GASP! Indians catcher Victor Martinez homered and drove in four runs. Mark De Rosa also hit a two-run home run for the Indians. Pavano pitched well going six innings allowing two runs. Yankees fans are probably pissed because Pavano isn't on the disabled list yet.

8 Braves 6 Marlins: Even though Florida's Jorge Cantu drove in five runs, the Marlins still lost to the Braves. Atlanta broke their four-game losing streak behind a strong performance by Derek Lowe. Garret Anderson drove in his first three runs of the season for the Braves. Also Chipper Jones and Omar Infante both drove in two runs apiece for Atlanta. I wonder if Lowe is still married to Carolyn Hughes?

4 Rays 3 Yankees in 10: Carlos Pena hit a game-winning home run in the tenth inning against New York. Mark Teixeria tied the game in the eighth inning with a double. But that lead wasn't enough for the Yankees to snap their 4-game losing streak.

3 Rangers 2 A's: Kurt Suzuki had a chance to win this game with runners on, but all he did was fly out. The A's have lost four straight. Both David Murphy and Chris Davis drove in runs for the Rangers.

Picture of the Night: I guess Pedroia found out that his brother will be going to jail for a long time.

  1. Pedroia just looked like he flunked a PED test.

  2. While his hitting may be sub-par, as a defensive 3rd base man, I actually think that Pedro Feliz is really, really good. Which in turn made last night's error all the more bizarre.

  3. Feliz has always been a good fielder. But he will always disappoint with his hitting.
