With the NFL and college football officially over until September, it is time to start paying more attention to the NBA. And for once in my life, I actually agree with Boston Globe's columnist Dan Shaughnessy, the Celtics-Lakers rivalry is the best match up in sports.Unlike the Red Sox-Yankees or Giants-Dodgers rivalry, this one spans the nation. You have two completely different teams, playing in two completely different cities. And what makes this the best rivalry, they only play each other twice during the regular season.
They have two chances to claim who is the best in the league. The Lakers on Christmas stopped the Celtics in the middle of their 19-game winning streak. Tonight though the Celtics get a chance at payback in Boston.
This should be a great game, that I think even borderline basketball fans would enjoy.
