College Football Spark Notes: Afternoon Games

Well with most of the early games being blowouts or games that have almost no significants, lets hope the afternoon games are worth watching.

> You know Norte Dame is struggling if they are tied 3-3 with lowly Syracuse and it is the end of the 1st quarter. Old Charlie just hasn't gotten the offense going. And golden boy Jimmy Clausen just hasn't looked like the All-American that came out of high school.
> Syracuse has just gone on a long 81 yard drive to score against the Irish. More and more pundits of Weis are saying "I told you so". Norte Dame better get their offense going, because losing to a team who has already fired their coach(Greg Robinson) will not look good for Chuck.
> I guess Washington wants to send Tyrone out a winner. The are leading 10-0 with 2:00 remaining in the half. I'd rather move on.
> Florida is only 30 points away from 100. Tebow has already left the game with three touchdown passes. Florida has scored the rest of their points on runs. I wonder how much they are going to score on Florida St. next week?
> Whatever team Houston Nutt coaches, he still owns LSU. Ole Miss is up 21-3 and one of those scores was with the "Wildcat" offense. Jevan Snead is having a terrific day. LSU quarterback Jarrett Lee can't say the same thing. This poor kid will be the scapegoat for the LSU season.
> Penn St. is rolling up Michigan St. They got their Spread HD offense going again and look like they did earlier this year. Joe Pa will probably be Rose Bowl bound.
> Things are going from bad to worse for LSU. Lee just injured his ankle and now LSU has to go to a true freshman quarterback. He did complete his first long pass though, so maybe this could be a blessing in disguise.
> Cal is avenging their disapointing loss to Stanford from last year. Cal is up 30-3, and the second half just began. Cal was once again a dissapointment this year, but they look like they are getting back on track. But once again they will be in a small bowl game. How many years will Cal let Jeff Tedford coach a team that should do better in a weak Pac-10?
> Well things just went from bad to worse for Norte Dame. They just lost to lowly Syracuse. And if that wasn't bad enough their players were pelted with snowballs. Rich Rod thought he was having a bad year, Charlie Weis has just seen his team lose to another bad team, coming after a week were Navy almost came from behind to beat them. I guarantee Jason Whitlock will be making fun of Chuck in his next column.
> Washington and Washington St. are actually in a 2nd overtime right now. I bet the fans wish they could be put out of their misery by now.
> Well Washington lost the only way they know how to. In the 2ND overtime of the futility cup, Washington attempted a field goal for the lead and missed. Washington St. did what the Huskies couldn't do and made their attempted field goal. While both schools had disastrous years, Washington St. has the most promise. Paul Wulf will get the Cougars back to the top of the PAC-10, while Washington is just a mess. They fired their coach and their facilities are just a mess right now. Whoever takes that job will have a lot to deal with. Good Luck to the next coach of the Washington Huskies.
