Bill Self Knows Cole Aldrich Isn't Returning
Every college basketball coach knows when he a blue-chip recruit, he will probably won't last long at that school. Every coach though avoids talking about that certain player leaving school early. That's why Bill Self's comments last night regarding Cole Aldrich was so refreshing.

During a post-game address to the fans at the Allen Fieldhouse, Self brought up Junior Cole Aldrich who is expected to skip his Senior year and enter the NBA draft. The crowd started chanting "one more year" to which Self responded "I'm all for that but don't hold your breath on that one."

Could you ever imagine Coach K or Roy Williams ever saying that? That's why it was so refreshing to listen to Self admit that Aldrich isn't likely to stick around in Lawrence.

Dunk of the Year
People use all sorts of hyperbole for dunks now. We hear "Dunk of the Year" all the time. But we might have finally found a dunk of the year candidate. With Kent State down by two with 7.1 seconds left, Rod Sherman drove the length of the court and dunked the ball to tie the game. He was also fouled and drained the free throw to give Kent State the lead and the win. Now that's the dunk of the year.

Need An Update?
The good folks over at Storming the Floor are updating the conference tournaments that are already taking place. Need an update on the Horizon League conference championship? Head over to Storming the Floor. Didn't know there were conference championships already taking place? Head over to Storming the Floor. It's really that simple.

Cornell Goes For First 2010 NCAA Tournament Bid
Cornell can lock up the Ivy League title and the first NCAA tournament bid of the season tonight. Cornell faces Brown tonight and should lock up their third straight Ivy League title and third straight NCAA bid. It's been a pretty impressive run for an Ivy League school. The Big Red have won 36 Ivy League games in three years. They will look to win their first NCAA game in this three year stretch in this year's tournament.

Someones Upset
We've all seen coaches have meltdowns(Playoffs?). So it's nothing new, but awesome every time a coach meltdown's in the post-game press conference. Well we had another coach meltdown in his post-game press conference. Utah coach Jim Boylen melted down at Salt Lake Tribune columnist Gordon Monson.

You have to love how Boylen said don't come around once a year and ask those type of questions. Monson responded in his column by taking a shot at Boylen by "accidentally" calling him Ray Giacoletti the former Utah coach who went 54-40 in three seasons. It's great to see another coach meltdown in his post-game press conference again.
