Raider Fans Have Had Enough

(Editors Note: There will be a Oregon vs. Oregon State open thread tonight.)

Say what you want about the Raider fans, but don't ever say they aren't passionate. And don't ever say they aren't angered by how Al Davis has ran the team over the past 10 years.

Well Raider fans finally have had enough and are going to the streets with their anger. They have enough respect to call him "Mr. Davis" but they are tired of the Godfather running the team himself and please ask him to hire a real GM.

The people behind MessageToAl.com bought ad space on the above billboard on the I-880 freeway near the Oakland Coliseum. They next plan to buy ad space in the Oakland Tribune.

Of course Al Davis is still making all the decisions in Oakland. He drafted JaMarcus Russell when he should have drafted Calvin Johnson. They drafted another running back Darren McFadden when they probably should have drafted offensive lineman Ryan Clady. And this year Al drafted Darius Heywood-Bey when clearly they should have drafted Michael Crabtree or Percy Harvin or Jeremy Maclin. So the blood is on Davis' hands for the Raiders becoming a laughingstock of the NFL.

But he will never listen to the message. Davis has always been the GM of the Raiders and he will continue to be the GM of the Raiders until he either becomes sick or passes away. He has never thought about his fans and quite frankly he doesn't care what they think or how they feel.

If Davis cared about how the fans feel, then he would have thought about that the moment he took the Raiders to Los Angeles and then brought them back to Oakland. I know a long-time Raider fan who never looked at the Raiders again when Davis brought them back to Oakland. And a lot of older fans feel this way.

So nice try Raider fans. I appreciate the sentiment and you are dead on with your message. But the old man isn't listening.

The billboard is UP! We need your help to pay for it! (MessageToAl.com)
