Inside the Paint: Where the New Jersey Nets Are the Worst Ever!

Dallas 117 New Jersey 101: Move over Miami Heat, the New Jersey Nets take over the top spot for the worst start to an NBA season ever! With this loss to Dallas and former Nets star Jason Kidd, the New Jersey Nets start the season with an 0-18 record. At least Chris Douglas-Roberts knows that the players stink. One thing is certain about the Nets, losing this much is a hard thing to do.

Indiana 105 Sacramento 110
: Last year's worst team the Sacramento Kings actually went above .500 with a win over the Pacers. Kings rookie Tyreke Evans was honored before the game receiving the rookie of the month, then he sank five free throws in the final 44 seconds to finish with 26 points on the night. Danny Granger was still able to score 33 points for the Pacers in the game.

Toronto 115 Atlanta 146: So much for defense in this game. Atlanta shot 59% from the field and 52% from behind the arc. Toronto shot over 60% from behind the arc, but only attempted 16 shots. Like Bill Simmons said last night on Twitter, "If you're thinking about moving to Toronto, Chris Bosh's house and Bryan Colangelo's house are going on the market any day." I don't see how Toronto keeps either of them.

Philadelphia 106 Oklahoma City 117: Here's the stat line of the night. Russell Westbrook went 1-for-11 from the field, but had 15 assists in the game. Meanwhile the Sixers Jrue Holliday is finally seeing signficant minutes, scoring 15 points last night with two assists. Too bad Holliday's growth will be stunted by the return of Iverson next week.

  1. The Nets are simply awful to watch. And worst off, the players don't care because most of them are playing on one-year contracts and will be out of there next year.
