24 Hours of College Hoops Open Thread

College Basketball is back and ESPN is airing their annual 24-hour marathon of college hoops. Remember when I attempted to live blog this entire marathon a few years ago? (Ah the good ol college days) Well I'm not going to attempt to do that again but instead will leave an open thread for you folks to comment on the games you're watching. Obviously the biggest game, the game everyone will want to watch, is the Kansas-Duke game. There are some other good games as well in this period so let's enjoy the college basketball!

I'm surprised at how many of these games are on ESPN2. Almost all of them used to air on ESPN. I find this interesting because what does it say about this marathon? Is this the last one for a while or is ESPN just bowing down to the all important NFL coverage?

  1. Students at Florida Gulf Coast won't even be awake at 7AM. /It still surprises me teams agree to these start times

  5. So, so many white guys on BYU. Also I can't believe Johnny Dawkins is still coaching at furd. He's done nothing there.

  6. Greenberg: "Carlino is like the Johnny Manziel of basketball. He just plays!"

  7. @colonel It's all part of the K voodoo, unless you're Quin Snyder. I fully expect Chris Collins to spend 20 years at Northwestern.

    1. Well the last coach at Northwestern stayed there way past the necessary point so this wouldn't actually surprise me.

  8. You know ESPN isn't trying when they're recycling the same halftime report.

  11. I know I shouldn't make fun of kids but there's a kid on LSU who has teeth as yellow as his jersey.

    1. And I found out that Josh Smith is still playing college basketball but at Georgetown. He's another 1 who's been around forever.

    1. I still can't believe Frank Martin left KState for that wasteland and I can't believe KState hired Bruce Weber to replace him.

    2. It was all about money with Martin. He wanted to be PAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIDDDDDD and that's why he left. Still a mystery why KState hired Weber.

    3. It's also easier to recruit to Columbia, South Carolina than Manhattan, Kansas.

  16. What a terrible ending to a game. Just brutal.
