The Colonel: I heard Collinsworth say last night that Harbaugh was influence by Bo at Michigan. That when you have a lead you use your tight end and fullback and then run the ball. Two problems with this. First the opposing team knows you're going to run the ball. Second Bo never won a championship. I wouldn't take his word.
49er16: And Kaepernick taking the snap under center was a disaster. Just use the shotgun/pistol formation. Brady used it all night was just fine. Manning never goes under center.
The Colonel: Next week should be awesome. Of course though Seattle has already won that game because they have scored 50 points in back-to-back weeks against Arizona and Buffalo. BE AFRAID, VERY AFRAID!
49er16: Oh I'm shaking in my boots over Russell Wilson and Pete Carroll.
The Colonel: How about those Ravens? Fire their offensive coordinator and still forget they have Ray Rice on their team. And I'm sorry but their defense is bad. I know we're all suppose to bow down to that defense and kiss Ray Lewis' feet, but they're bad. Even Football Outsiders says they're bad.
49er16: Hey man when you can get Joe Flacco to throw the ball 40 times and complete half of those passes, you have to do it. And yeah their defense is bad. Knowshon Moreno ran for over 100 yards against them and he wouldn't know how to run through a hole on the offensive line if he had a GPS.
The Colonel: Flacco is what makes me laugh. He can't complete over 60 percent of his passes and yet the Ravens have him drop back like he's Dan Marino.
49er16: And yet the Ravens are going to the playoffs and Todd Haley couldn't make it a full year without pissing off his QB.
The Colonel: I had Haley pissing off Rothlisburger by November so I'm a month and a half off. Who knew those two crazy kids wouldn't get along?
49er16: I also want to thank Raiders fans for picking the Chiefs game to finally show up at the Coliseum to prevent the TV blackout. Thank you for making me watch that dreadful game that forced the NFL back 40 years. Thank you for letting me watch Brady Quinn throw a horizontal lawn dart to his running back. Thank you for reminding me that Brady Quinn complained about Tim Tebow receiving playing time over him because Brady Quinn is some giant talent that is just waiting for his chance. Thank you.
The Colonel: I'll say this about Chiefs-Raiders, it gave me a chance to do some Christmas shopping.
49er16: After reading this column, it makes me wonder why no one at ESPN wants to be associated with First Take, Skip Bayless, or Rob Parker? Sounds like a fun show to be a part of. Race-baiting, tackling low hanging fruit, making contarian opinions, sounds like fun for the entire family.
The Colonel: My favorite part of this whole ordeal is the word "cause" that Parker used. Like RG3 isn't a part of a bigger group that plans on taking over the world. And because he might be a Republican or has a white fiancee? Weird, weird, statement.
49er16: I am going to have to use the word "cause" more often. "You're not down with the cause my friend!" Or "Come to my cause and I'll show you the light!"
The Colonel: Before we go I would like to congratulate the New York Mets for alienating their fan base by refusing to sign R.A. Dickey to a two-year deal and then trading him to the Toronto Blue Jays. Because when you play the financially saving card against a Cy Young winner asking for a short deal who could easily pitch effectively into his 40's while signing David Wright who's skills are eroding to a long term deal you have to do it.
49er16: Alderson is going to sell that hard that he got a couple of good prospects back and that Dickey is aging. While Dickey is old, he throws a knuckleball for crying out loud. Like you said he could still be effective into his 40's and it wasn't like he was asking for Zach Greinke money.
The Colonel: I still go back to signing Wright to that long term deal and not giving Dickey two or three years. I'll never understand that.
49er16: Maybe Dickey wasn't down with Alderson's "cause"?
