This isn't exactly breaking news but the Houston Astros revealed their new uniforms for the 2013 season, their first in the American League. Players were trotted out and showed off the new uniforms. They're kinda of a hybrid for their jerseys for the very beginning of the Astros and from the days of Nolan Ryan*. What I haven't yet seen was this epic uniform introducing the new uniforms.
That's like a movie trailer for a Batman movie. Hell I even expected Commissioner Gordon to flip on a Astros signal with Craig Biggio's face in the middle of it.
*Side Tangent: I understand teams are trying to gouge make more money by selling alternative jersey's. I just don't understand the all-orange craze though. The Giants started this dumb trend in 2010 and it has now carried over to the Marlins and Astros. I've never seen a Giants fan wear the orange jersey and have never heard from a Giants fan who wanted to buy an orange jersey. Can this orange craze die like the teal craze from the late 90's?
