TV Announcers: Daron Sutton?, Mark Grace
According to ESPN.com, television announcer Daron Sutton has been suspended due to "insubordination." The report cited a dispute between Sutton and the club about the team's on-air dress code.
A source confirmed that dispute to The Republic, saying that while the club prefers its broadcast team to wear polo shirts adorned with the Diamondbacks logo, Sutton has lobbied to wear suits.
He made at least one veiled reference to the dispute on the air during the last game he called, an afternoon game against the Seattle Mariners on June 20.
Without going into detail, another source said the Diamondbacks have had various issues with Sutton for years.

This Daron Sutton Situation is insane by both sides. I can understand why Sutton would want to wear a suit instead of a team issued polo shirt. It makes him appear more professional and not look like a complete homer.
On the other hand I can see the Diamondbacks point. Sutton is paid by them to broadcast Diamondbacks games. The team wants it's name everywhere for advertisement. So I can understand where they are coming from.
Either way in my opinion both sides are acting foolishly and the Diamondbacks will look really foolish if they fire Sutton who is a solid broadcaster who brings sabermetrics knowledge to every broadcast.
Sutton's partner Mark Grace on the other hand should be fired for being an idiot. I get that Grace's shtick is that he's a funny man, but it wears thin after a while. It's fine for a hit on the Jim Rome Show, but an entire broadcast night after night is just too much. And with Sutton potentially gone the smart side of the broadcast is gone.
Radio Broadcasters: Greg Schulte, Tom Candiotti
Schulte has filled in for Sutton the past couple of games on the TV side, but his regular job is the radio announcer for the Snakes. Schulte is a good announcer who doesn't get in the way of the game by making himself a bigger part of the broadcast. He just calls the action and moves on.
Candiotti is a nice change of pace compared to Grace. He does a better job at breaking down what just happened and doesn't try to make a joke after every play or say things like "That's a big boy play" like Grace. Candiotti and Schulte also have a good chemistry together so the broadcasts go by smoothly and fast.
I personally don't like Sutton. He's very dry and doesn't have much of a personality on him. Must take after his mother.
