2012 Foul Ball: The Return

Is this a baseball game or Wrestlemania 9
(I'll occasionally be posting recaps of the previous nights baseball games in the Foul Ball posts. I've promised to do this after every weekday game the past two years and have usually quit around August. So no promises that I'm going to do this the entire year, but these posts will certainly be around. Reminder: Home teams are the last team mention in the scores)

St. Louis 4, Florida Miami 1: New ballpark. New uniforms. New name. New manager. New uniforms. Same old crappy Marlins. Oh and same old crappy umpiring from Angel Hernandez. The Marlins wouldn't even had a run in this game if Hernandez didn't blow a call at first base in the eighth inning.

The Marlins didn't even have a hit in the game until the seventh inning as Cardinals pitcher Kyle Lohse carried a no-hitter into the seventh until a Jose Reyes single broke it up. Lohse pitched into the eighth inning before being pulled giving up only 2 hits on the night, one run, no walks, and three strikeouts. David Freese continued his incredible World Series run into this this season going 3 for 5 with two RBIs.

Great having baseball back in our lives.
