I gotta make a confession. I've barely watched any college basketball this year. I don't know why, but college basketball just has not interested me this year. I've been watching more NBA even though that product is terrible because of the short season and lockout. Whatever the NBA has caught my attention and I've barely watched the college game.
Tonight though I'm going to watch college basketball. Duke is playing North Carolina and that is always a game to watch despite the presence of Dick Vitale. If you're watching Duke-UNC or any other game stop on by and leave comments but don't troll.

ReplyDeleteI've barely watched any college basketball this year.
ReplyDeleteIt took almost 5 minutes for the 1st FG make in Penn State-Sparty. The games on ESPN & the Deuce can't start fast enough.
For whatever reason I just can't get into college basketball this year.
ReplyDeleteMy bad on reprinting your earlier quote, Keith. Forgot the italic emphasis......
ReplyDeleteI've actually watched a ton of college hoops (even this B1G dreck); having the unwatchable, no future Pistons to watch as a local NBA option has steered me to more college games this season.
33-19 Sparty at the half; both teams combined to shoot 13-62 in the 1st half. Woof.
ReplyDeleteAt least the games on ESPN/ESPN2 have started at a decent enough pace.
Allan Houston is the Knicks Assistant GM? He's in the house in Waco watching Rodney White 2.0---Perry Jones III.
ReplyDeleteBaylor with the early lead against Kansas.
ReplyDeleteI've barely noticed Perry Jones III out there (2 shots, 2 points). He's doing his best Terrence Jones impersonation out there.
ReplyDeleteI've stopped being cheap and paid for NBATV. They show games when ESPN and TNT aren't. One of the reasons why I've barely watched college hoops this year.
ReplyDeleteKnicks-Wizards on NBATV right now....I might have to turn it back to Penn State-Sparty instead. #Stretch
ReplyDeleteOkay so not all the NBATV games are goood..............
ReplyDeleteGeorgetown-Cuse is actually pretty good.
Hoyas with a 31-27 lead in the Carrier Dome at the half. No "Fab Melo was suspended" excuses if the Orange lose tonight.
ReplyDeleteKansas on an 11-3 run; tied at 30 with 1:19 left in the half.

ReplyDeleteJayhawks lead 33-30 at the half; Baylor can't continue to lose these important home games and be taken seriously come Betting Sheets Time.
ReplyDeleteOkay I love the SBN blogs but when the comments sections start talking politics, economics, race, and religion they quickly become like the people who comment on newspaper websites. McCovey Chronicles has degenerated into a newspaper comments section the past couple of days.
ReplyDeleteCuse takes the lead!
ReplyDeleteJeff Withey can't be stopped. 22 points so far for KU after the bagel he put up against smallish Mizzou.
ReplyDeleteNow it's a 11 point KU lead. Baylor getting zipped up on their own home court.
ReplyDeleteNow it's an 18 point Kansas lead. Yikes. I have no issue of which channel to change when the true rivalry of Rivalry Week begins in 5 minutes....Michigan-Nebraska! Anyone? #Crickets
ReplyDeleteYou might be onto something, Keith:
ReplyDeleteFlorida State: Beat UNC and Duke, lost to Princeton & Harvard, and losing to a dogshit Boston College team by 8 in the 2nd half
Michigan: Since January 11th has alternated wins and losses...and STILL are ranked in both polls.
#TeamNBA
Derrick Coleman in the Carrier Dome watching the Cuse? Whoop-de-Damn-doo. #HadTo
ReplyDelete@RJBO: As I said in the post, the NBA is a terrible product right now. I just find their games more interesting though.
ReplyDeleteYou don't have to tell me the NBA is a terrible product. I'm a Pistons fan. There just seems to be a chasm between the 5 or so teams capable of winning the NCAA tournament and everyone else.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of everyone else, FSU still trails BC by 7 with 1:59 left in the Conte Forum.
Cuse-Georgetown tied with 54 seconds left.
ReplyDeleteMelo the HUGE block!
ReplyDeleteDion Waiters has jacked up at least two other 3s that badly in this 2nd half. Overtime.
ReplyDeletePlease ESPN. I don't want to see a close up of Musberger's turkey neck.
ReplyDeleteMichigan's gonna lose in the 2nd round unless Tim Hardaway Jr. gets his shooting woes in check.
ReplyDelete62-57 BC with 26.6 left in Chestnut Hill.
Oh Melo! That FT was rolling off before you grabbed it.
ReplyDeleteFair with the fair play. #Brando
ReplyDeleteOffensive foul on Thompson! Thought that was gonna be a charge.
ReplyDeleteBC wins, 64-60. So in conference, FSU has lost to BC and Clemson. Really.
ReplyDeleteBaylor lost by 17 at home to Kansas. Ouch.
ReplyDeleteI saw the Baylor-BYU game (oddly enough on BYUTV) earlier in the season: PJIII was dominant. They had 3s by Jackson & Heslip and I bought in. Whoops.
ReplyDeleteJOSEPH FOR 3!
ReplyDeleteJoseph hits a huge 3 with 21 seconds left.
ReplyDeleteDuke-UNC is underway! And I've got the ACC Network feed on my laptop. #Masochist
ReplyDeleteSYRACUSE BALL! They'll hold on for this!
ReplyDeleteAnd Cuse wins!
ReplyDeleteZeller has been at UNC forever.
ReplyDelete"GET IT TO ZELL-LAH!" Wrong Zeller. #DickieV'd
ReplyDeleteMichigan leads mighty Nebraska 22-15 at the half. #zzzzzzzzzzz
ReplyDelete"Closed Captioning on ACC Network games brought to you as always by Bojangles"
ReplyDeleteI've really been missing out watching the ESPN broadcast of these Duke-UNC games. #NotReally
An incredible pace to this game: back and forth action. Advantage: UNC.
ReplyDeleteDickie V: "This is fun to see. I get tired of those 48-47 games." Otherwise known as the no-defense B1G games.
ReplyDeleteBrando: "The rim tantalizingly unkind."
Your choice, Keith: Shulman, Dickie V & Bilas on ESPN or Brando & Bonner on the ACC Network. #ArsenicOrStrychnine
ReplyDelete15 points for Tyler Zeller already. Geez.
ReplyDeleteBrando: "There's Dawkins again playing the Nylon Song." #Strychnine
ReplyDeleteTyler Zeller is unstoppable. 19 and 7 in the 1st half.
ReplyDeleteLotta woofing going on out there between the two teams. A T or 2 are coming in the 2nd half.
ReplyDeleteUNC leads 43-40 at the half. A nice palate-cleanser to some of these eyesores of games recently. #B1G
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid to even switch to Dukie V at this point.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason, the ACC Network broadcast is on in Sacramento on KCRA.2
ReplyDeletehttp://www.theacc.com/live/2012-acc-basketball-match-center-duke-at-north-carolina.html#affiliate-list-anchor
Those #2 and #3 Digital Channels need to show something other than old episodes of Sanford And Son. Here: Channel 7's Digital channel is running a 1 hour Proactiv infomercial. Channel 4's: "Two Mules For Sister Sara," with the redubbed ending with Clint Eastwood talking about revving up Sara's engines again. #SuperBowlAd'd
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what a "wire job" is, but I bet Brando had one done in a Shreveport alley.
ReplyDeleteRoy Williams? Cursing, Erin Andrews? Never! #BonnieBernstein
ReplyDeleteI don't think Duke is getting out of the 1st weekend of the Tournament this year.
ReplyDelete10 point UNC lead. Duke getting popped in the mouth after halftime.
ReplyDeleteAgreed, Kris, especially if they face someone with a decent inside game.
ReplyDeleteThe best part of a Raycom (ACC Network) broadcast in these parts is getting this commercial at every other timeout:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0eD73Mx35jE
@RJBO Too many jump shots. Very reminiscent of their 06,07,08 teams.
ReplyDeleteBrando: "It's heartbreak hotel for Duke."
ReplyDeleteThe Wayans Bros. need to make another crappy show to keep John Witherspoon from stooping so low...
ReplyDeleteIt's Dickie V's 40th Duke-UNC game? Goody.
Harrison Barnes finding his stroke now. UNC close to zipping up Duke in the next 5 minutes.
ReplyDeleteDammit UNC! 4 point play by Curry!
ReplyDeleteDuke shooting FTs the remaining 11:26 of the game. Ah geez.
ReplyDeleteOne of my affiliates is picking up Brando. I'm watching that.
ReplyDelete/avoids Dickie V
With the laptop on the ACC Network and ESPN on the tube, I can't really pick out anything specifically from either broadcast. #CacophonyOfBleh
ReplyDeleteFood Lion: the grocery store I'll always associate with the Primetime Live expose of them re-wrapping rancid meat and selling it as new. #20YearsAgo
ReplyDeleteDuke can't continue to brick these FTs. #CaptainObvious
ReplyDeleteZeller now has 4 fouls.
ReplyDeleteBrando: "That's a crier pulled down by Marshall." #Strychnine
ReplyDeleteBrando: "McAdoo! Can-Do!"
ReplyDeleteBrando: "Inside...MCADOO CAN DO!"
ReplyDeleteNice flop Seth.
ReplyDeleteSHEED! #BallDon'tLie
ReplyDeleteDuke won't go away. 3 by Thornton.
ReplyDeleteDickie V: "Who said (Thornton) couldn't shoot?"
Shulman: "That would be the swag to my right (Bilas)." Help!
CURRY!
ReplyDeleteOffensive foul on Barnes. UNC melting down late.
ReplyDeleteBrando: "The Dukies won't go away"
ReplyDelete/Someone check to make sure Vitale is still alive
Kelly! 2 point game!!
ReplyDeleteWow, Duke wasted a lot of time before taking the timeout.
ReplyDeleteTimeout Duke with 20.3 seconds left.
ReplyDeleteIt was like they were looking for a dagger from Curry. Get to the hoop and get a 2 or some (ugh) FTs.
ReplyDeleteWOW A TIP-IN!
ReplyDeleteOH ZELLER! THAT'S A 3??????
ReplyDeleteOh wow Zeller! That has to be goaltending!
ReplyDeleteIt's a 2. That was tipped in by Zeller. He goes to the line with 13.9 left.
ReplyDeleteAnd yet, Zeller got lucky.

ReplyDeleteRIVERS OH MY GOODNESS!
ReplyDeleteUNBELIEVABLE!
ReplyDeleteARE YOU KIDDING ME! WOW!
ReplyDeleteAn absolute dagger! This was the hero 3 they were trying to set up earlier. My oh my!
ReplyDeleteShot over a 7 footer with arms extended. My god what an ending.
ReplyDelete@TimBrando
ReplyDeleteAt the buzzer...Blue Devils WIN! #Duke
He tweeted live on the air!
Thanks God Dickie V has a sore throat (he could barely talk yesterday on Florida-Kentucky); otherwise he would've orgasmed a la Kentucky-Indiana.
ReplyDeleteWell.....Tim Brando did something cool for a change.
ReplyDeleteAustin Rivers: "That talk about us not being a Top 6 team really pissed us off." So chesty. he can be tonight.
ReplyDeleteI must say, after 11 months, it was good to finally hear Brando call a college basketball game again.
ReplyDelete/iron unkind
This means Maryland is going to to go into Cameron Indoor Saturday and win, right?
