Week 7 College Football Open Thread

I'll be around for the morning games and a little bit of the afternoon games and then I'm off to Reno until Sunday afternoon. Michigan vs Michigan State is really the only game worth watching today, so I would go enjoy the fall day myself after that game. You should enjoy whatever game you're watching, leave comments, and don't be a troll.

The Must List

153 comments:

  1. Wind gusts to 40-50 MPH in East Lansing. O/U on Denard Robinson INTs: 4 1/2

    ReplyDelete
  2. And Corso just fell down with the mascot head on. Oregon cheerleaders had to pick him up.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Derek Moye is out with an injured foot. Just what this inept Penn State offense needs, to lose its best player.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Almost forgot about Baylor-A&M on FX. Anything not to watch the Indiana-Wisconsin shitshow on the Deuce.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Is Michigan playing Colorado State?

    ReplyDelete
  6. Bret Bielema should start dressing as the Red Baron.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Big Brother with a decent drive against the #1 D in the FBS.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Delay of game on 3rd and 1, Wolverines. Crap.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Do Michigan State think they are Notre Dame? Geez.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Michigan has to go for it. Their kicking game still sucks and their going into the wind.

    NOOOOOOOOOOO!

    ReplyDelete
  11. First down Michigan! The fake FG works....barely.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Not enough evidence to overturn the spot. Call stands. 1st down Michigan.

    ReplyDelete
  13. But the play is being reviewed to see if Denard stepped out before the score.

    ReplyDelete
  14. CURTIS DUKES! TOUCHDOWN PENN STATE!

    ReplyDelete
  15. A&M's Tanenhill with one of the dumbest throws I've ever seen. And of course it was intercepted by a D-Lineman.

    ReplyDelete
  16. "Penn State seems to be in a groove on offense." - Tom Hart

This is not Indiana State. This groove won't last for long.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Damn. That's the Michigan Defense I remember from the RichRod Era: gaping holes for running backs.

    ReplyDelete
  18. DROPPED BY KEYSHAWN MARTIN! THAT WAS AN EASY TD!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Quite the derpfest between Hawaii and San Jose State last night.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Edwin Baker is reprising his running performance from last year's matchup. Goody.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Touchdown M-S-U. Edwin Baker can't be stopped.

    ReplyDelete
  22. GERG is coaching Michigan's defense again.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Wiggs makes that field goal. 7-3 Penn State.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Thanks for reminding me of that dude, Keith. Right now, my nightmares are consumed by Nelson Cruz, but after the Rangers finish off the Tigers tonight....

    ReplyDelete
  25. Why is the B1G Network giving us highlights of Indiana-Wisconsin?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Where were you throwing that one to Bolden?

Penn State think they have 2 QBs. This does not take into account level of competency, of which there are currently 0 at Penn State. Then again, we've never seen Skyler Mornhinweg.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Brady Hoke channeling his inner Lloyd Carr rotating Devin Gardner & Denard Robinson early. #DrewHenson&TomBrady

    ReplyDelete
  28. Utah is shitting all over themselves in Pittsburgh.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Kevin Frazier after a UM-MSU update: "No comment on those uniforms."
GuJo: "Those white uniforms are a little risque." ?

    ReplyDelete
  30. That one yard punt by Indiana is cracking me up.

    ReplyDelete
  31. That pass by Denard to Hemingway should've been a pick-6.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Check this out: http://gif.mocksession.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/INDIANA-PUNT.gif

    ReplyDelete
  33. Oh Indiana. That 4th and 2 call had no chance.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Charles Davis: "The Tigers have to win two, but they can't do that without a victory tonight."

That might be the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Is Michigan trying to keep Devin Gardner from transferring with these guaranteed snaps?

    ReplyDelete
  36. Now McGloin is in the game. You have no idea the joy this brings me.

    /sarcasm

    ReplyDelete
  37. @ Keith: Are you setting up the ALCS live blog today?

    ReplyDelete
  38. @Justin: I can set it up, but I won't be around. I'm leaving for Reno at 2.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Joe Tiller is telling Joe Paterno stories. Riveting TV on the B1G right now.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Wolverines have received some favorable spots on 3rd & 4th and 1.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I'll create the live blog then Justin, and post it.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Good job of the ESPN score bar to give Michigan 2 points for calling a timeout.

    ReplyDelete
  43. What you're telling me, Pasch-Urban-Spielman, is that Denard should be out there for every snap? #EricKarros

....annnnnnnnnnnd he should've been picked off.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I hate the fact that the Baylor-A&M game is on now. Missed some classic GuJo scream on the 68 yard TD to Ryan Swope.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Oh crap, they are reviewing this and this could be overturned.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Damn, can the people operating these score boxes add? Before the XP, Baylor was credited for 12 points on that TD. #Flashed19-10

    ReplyDelete
  47. "Tonight in primetime, it's a Legends Division clash." - Tom Hart

    ReplyDelete
  48. Damn. They overturned that Purdue fumble.

    ReplyDelete
  49. INTERCEPTED! THIS TURNOVER WILL STAND! LOL PURDUE!

    ReplyDelete
  50. GuJo starting to get lathered up with this back-and-forth action in College Station. Touchdown Christine Michael for aTm.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Denard Robinson can't throw anything towards the sidelines.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Sigh. Another inaccurate pass by Denard. Maybe Devin Gardner should be out there. #Where'sTateForcier? #NotThatDesperate #Yet

    ReplyDelete
  53. Another gift for Michigan. That should be a touchback, not Sparty starting at their own 5.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Penn State kicks a field goal. 10-6 Penn State at halftime.

/I don't blame you for not watching this

    ReplyDelete
  55. Michigan-Michigan State is marginally better, only to try to figure out how much Denard Robinson misses a wide open receiver.

    ReplyDelete
  56. In the battle of Big Brother versus Little Brother, they both kiss their sister after a half. #ShitBrandoMightSay

    ReplyDelete
  57. Hoke wearing his Terminator glasses.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Flipping back and forth between Purdue-Penn State and Chelsea-Everton. I think there might be more scores in the soccer game.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Chelsea lead 3-0. Thus far there have been 4 scores in this Purdue-Penn State game.

    /soccer game has chance

    ReplyDelete
  60. Sorry B1G. You're not convincing me that Legends and Leaders is great names for divisions with a commercial.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I hope that extra-short kickoff was not by design, Michigan.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Sparty is finally going with their best offense: handing the ball to Edwin Baker.

    ReplyDelete
  63. MaioccoCSN Matt Maiocco
Where in the world is 49ers GM Trent Baalke? He's in East Lansing, watching the Michigan-Michigan State game.

Sorry but I haven't seen anyone on these teams I would want.

    ReplyDelete
  64. But Denard Robinson could be the most dynamic....punt returner in the....Arena League.

    ReplyDelete
  65. @ Keith: You can always have Denard Robinson miss the passes that Alex Smith currently misses. ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  66. Honestly, Kirk Cousins could be the 5-7 year reclamation project that the 49ers like to take. #AlexSmith

    ReplyDelete
  67. I hope the 49ers are done with reclamation projects.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Roundtree the tough catch on that wounded duck...and he's down.

    ReplyDelete
  69. I'm as stunned as you are. #WhereInTheWorldIsShavodrickBeaver?

    ReplyDelete
  70. Holding wipes out another 1st down catch for Michigan. #Typical

    ReplyDelete
  71. Touchdown Purdue. They are a PAT away from tying the game.

    ReplyDelete
  72. OMG PURDUE MISSED THE EXTRA POINT!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  73. This is stereotypical B1G in Happy Valley today, folks.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Thanks for the "Spartan Bob" reset, ESPN. #1ExtraSecond

    Fumble! Michigan recovers!

    ReplyDelete
  75. McGloin's passes are so awkward looking.

    ReplyDelete
  76. TOUCHDOWN PENN STATE! 20-12 Penn State.

    /lol Purdue missed PAT

    ReplyDelete
  77. I'm better off chalking up the Michigan game as a loss and watching Baylor-aTm.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Now that the soccer game is over, I've got the Purdue-Penn State game on my TV and the East Stroudsburg-Bloomsburg game on my computer.

    ReplyDelete
  79. This PSU interception will be overturned. Bleh.

    ReplyDelete
  80. OH WOW IT STANDS! INTERCEPTION!

I don't think the refs got that right, but whatever one can do to laugh at Purdue, one must do, right?

    ReplyDelete
  81. Fuck. Somehow I managed to confuse East Stroudsburg with Shippensburg. We are playing Shippensburg today.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Time to start watching Baylor vs. TAMU

    ReplyDelete
  83. Verno---William Gholston the punch on Taylor Lewan. He should get the gate.

    ReplyDelete
  84. HOLY CRAP WHAT A CATCH BY BROWN!

"In hoops, that would be an and-1." - Tom Hart

And the next pass is an INT. Of course.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Ganaway! Touchdown Baylor! This has GuJo Late Game Magic written all over it.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Undisciplined Spartan football: determined to keep this game alive for Michigan.

    ReplyDelete
  87. William Gholston: Dirty, but effective. #NdamukongSuh

    ReplyDelete
  88. Meanwhile, I'm missing a phenomenal game by Ryan Swope watching this shitty game. Another 68 yard TD reception.

    ReplyDelete
  89. This Purdue-Penn State game has actually gotten kind of, sort of exciting.

    /i'm not drunk

    ReplyDelete
  90. Close and exciting doesn't mean good. #Hawaii-SJSULastNight

    ReplyDelete
  91. Did Buster Olney just RT a tweet officially announcing the Rangers are wearing white uniforms with red caps tonight?

    /important information'd

    ReplyDelete
  92. According to Twitter, it's officially Gus-gasm time in College Station.

Meanwhile, Michigan starts a drive at the MSU 35.

    ReplyDelete
  93. How dare you RJBO. SJ State vs Hawaii was an epic derpfest.

    ReplyDelete
  94. 23-18 Penn State.

This is what happens when you miss an extra point, Purdue.

    ReplyDelete
  95. TOUCHDOWN DENARD TO ROUNDTREE! NOT DEAD YET!

    ReplyDelete
  96. Baylor couldn't score on 4th and Goal from the 4.

Charles Davis before the attempt: "They have to go for the TD instead of the field goal, not to feel like they're going down a break, like in tennis." I...guess.

    ReplyDelete
  97. NOW you decide to show up, Michigan. Thankfully, it's not too late.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Koger! JUST short of the 1st. 4th and inches.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Another bad snap. Geez. At least it's 2nd down.

    ReplyDelete
  100. WHY??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

    ReplyDelete
  101. GuJo just pulled an oblique muscle calling that Nwachkwu TD.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Sparty just giving away the game.

    ReplyDelete
  103. 4th and 3 at their own 8. This is it for Purdue.

TIPPED AND INTERCEPTED! PENN STATE HOLDS STRONG!

    ReplyDelete
  104. Start drinking RJBO. We'll understand.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Nah, I'm gonna get a strychnine sandwich for dinner and save it for after the Tigers get eliminated.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Free Tate Forcier?

    /kidding
    //somewhat

    ReplyDelete
  107. Does Shavodrick Beaver or Kevin Newsome have some eligibility? #QBRecruitsThatBypassedMichigan #FellOffTheFaceOfTheEarth

    ReplyDelete
  108. They go for it, they get it, and Penn State win!

    ReplyDelete
  109. LOL. Gardner was at least 2 yards past the line of scrimmage.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Either Penn State finally grew a pair of balls, or someone on the coaching squad had the under. I think the latter.

    /O.U. 41.5
//Total points in this game: 41

    ReplyDelete
  111. Penn State football: So good it broke Twitter.

    /sarcasm

    ReplyDelete
  112. I'm gonna see if Steak & Strychnine & Cheese is part of Subway's Any $5 footlong promotion. #BackAround5

    ReplyDelete
  113. I gotta get going as well. I'll post the live blog.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Somehow, Penn State are 6-1 and Bowl eligible.

/it helps when you play Indiana State, Eastern Michigan (sorry RJBO), Temple, and Indiana in four of your first seven games

    ReplyDelete
  115. Peyton Manning in the booth with Verne and Gary.

    /stays away from CBS

    ReplyDelete
  116. The Philadelphia Union are going to the playoffs! I'm going to grab some dinner then be back to talk ALCS Game 6 and Richards Bowl I.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Philadelphia Flyer Max Talbot took the opening faceoff against Los Angeles King Mike Richards.

    Yeah.

    ReplyDelete
  118. And quite a few a**f***ings today.

RJBO has started meetings with Jack Daniels, Johnny Walker, Jose Cuevro and Captain Morgan since 3:30 PM ET.
