Foul Ball: Mrs. Madson Hates Philly Fans

Washington 2 Philadelphia 3: Doc threw another complete game striking out nine in the process but almost blew the game in the ninth inning when he gave up two runs to Washington. Three different Phillies players knocked in the runs of the game for Philly.

Ryan Madson's Wife Quote: Apparently Mrs. Madson doesn't care for Philly fans. Via Naked Philadelphia: Sarah Madson declared, “I hate the fans. It is bad enough that they bother us during the season, but they will not leave us alone in December when we go out to eat. We stayed here during the off season last year, but we will be going to California this year. There must be something particularly bad about Phillies fans because all the players leave in the off season.” Just a guess. She won't exactly endure herself to Philly fans after this.

Seattle 3 Toronto 8: The Jays avoided the sweep by scoring six runs in the eighth inning, started with a Jose Bautista three-run home run off of former Giant Chris Ray. The less famous Molina brother, Jose, also drove in two runs in the game

Carlos Delgado Calls It a Career: One of the most underrated players of the late 90's and early 00's Carlos Delgado called it a career yesterday. Alex Remington of Big League Stew has a great recap on Delgado's career.

Detroit 3 Texas 2: Two days in a row, the Rangers lose on a walkoff. Tuesday Miguel Cabrera broke the Rangers hearts and yesterday it was Mike Francesa's favorite player Brandon Inge who hit the walkoff home run.

Yankees 7 Baltimore 4: The Yankees reminded the upstart Orioles on Wednesday night that they still rule the AL East. A-Rod and Jorge Posada each hit home runs and AJ Burnett pitched into the seventh inning giving up seven hits and four runs but still was able to pick up the victory. Maybe Buck Showalter will keep his mouth shut from now on.

White Sox 4 Oakland 7, 10 Innings: Another White Sox-A's game, another extra innings affair, another blown save by the White Sox bullpen. The White Sox gave up three runs to the A's in the ninth inning to allow Oakland to tie the game and send it to extra innings. Then in the top of the tenth, the A's scored another three runs and picked up their second extra innings victory against Chicago. Needless to say, Ozzie isn't pleased with his bullpen.

NY Mets 4 Colorado 5: The Mets are just plain useless. They can't beat the Rockies at all and do the Giants a favor just once?

Atlanta 1 Florida 5: Florida pitcher Josh Johnson took a no-hitter into the eighth inning until Braves rookie Freddie Freeman broke up the no-hit bid with a double. Johnson was taken out of the game after that but he threw 7 1/3 innings giving up that one hit, no runs, while striking out nine. Hanley Ramirez went deep in the game for the Fish and Chris Coghlan drove in two runs.

Anaheim 4 Cleveland 3, 12 Innings: After winning eight in a row, the Indians have now lost two in a row to the California Angels. Jeff Mathis hit the game-winning sac fly in the bottom of the twelth to drive the dagger in the hearts of the Indians.

San Francisco 4 Los Angeles 3:  Before the game started, 2nd baseman Freddy Sanchez was given the night off. Mark DeRosa was going to fill in for him, but he had a sore wrist. Mike Fontenot was given 10 minutes notice he was starting at 2nd and promptly rewarded the Giants with a two RBI night including hitting the game-winning home run in the sixth inning.

Create a Caption: No wonder Mrs. Madson hates Philly fans. They are assholes.
