Foul Ball: Doink!, VROOM!, & Britton!

Detroit 3 Seattle 7: The story of this game wasn't the Mariners beating the Tigers. The story of this game was how Miguel Olivo hit his first home run of the season. Olivo hit what looked like a pop fly to Tigers left fielder Ryan Raburn. Only one problem though, the ball bounced off Raburn's glove and over the fence for a home run. Jose Canseco is embarrassed for Ryan Raburn. (Raburn gif via Jeff Sullivan)

Pittsburgh 2 San Francisco 3, 10 Innings: This game was a typical Giants game. The Giants scored none of their runs on hits. They scored two runs on sac fly's and the game-winning run was scored by Darren Ford on a grounder to 2nd base in the tenth inning. The Giants left six men on base and didn't score none of their runs on hits. Only the Giants could win this way and only the Pirates could lose in this style. Vrooom.

New York 2 Chicago 3: Ozzie Guillen might be a genius. Guillen used utility infielder Brent Lillibridge in right field during the ninth inning of last night's game and was immediately paid back. Lillibridge made two spectacular catches back-to-back with Yankees runners on base to preserve the win for the White Sox. Paul Konerko hit the game-winning home run in the eighth inning.

Ozzie Guillen Quote: From the AP recap: “I found my closer—Lillibridge,” Guillen said. “We know he can play the outfield really well.” I love sarcastic Ozzie.

Hawk Harrelson Quote: Watch this video and laugh at Homer Hawk. "We'll be right back"

Houston 6 St. Louis 5: Lance Berkman made his return to Houston for the first time and went 2-for-5 with an RBI but that wasn't enough to help the Cardinals. St. Louis has already basically demoted Ryan Franklin and now may have to go back to him. Mitchell Boggs threw a wild pitch that lead to the game-tying run in the bottom of the ninth and then gave up the game-winning hit to Bill Hall. Bruce Sutter can't hide his disgust among his beard at the Cardinals closing situation.

Cleveland 9 Kansas City 4: Justin Masterson gave up five hits and three runs in 6 2/3 innings but was able to run his record to 5-0 on the season. The Indians hit five home runs in the game, including two by Jack Hannahan out of all people. Grady Sizemore hit his third home run of the season in only eight games this year.

Baltimore 4 Boston 1: Zach Britton is on my fantasy team. Zach Britton gave up five hits, one run, in six innings of work. I'm thankful for Zach Britton.

Video of the Day: Pittsburgh is such an embarrassment to our country.

  1. These feathered creatures are one of God's most noteworthy manifestations. Ready to discover their path home over incredible separations but then nobody has possessed the capacity to make sense of how they take care of business. They are genuinely astonishing creatures. Hits a fly, or a homer
