Monster Saturday and I have to go to a family reunion. I guess that's my luck. Don't let me stand in your way of commenting on the college football games that you're watching. There are several must see games today and it seems like all of them are playing in the 3:30 time slot. So leave all your thoughts on the games here.

What the hell is Erin Andrews wearing? (Via EDSBS)
Um.............(Via EDSBS)
I'll be leaving at around halftime of the morning games. Feel free to keep leaving comments once I leave. I should be back for the night games.
ReplyDeleteWill you at least be able to watch some of the games?
ReplyDeleteYes, because I know my dad will turn on the TV and start watching Cal.
ReplyDeleteI am going to Bloomsburg's 1st home game of the season at 1:00 ET. The good news about my new apartment: I now live a quarter of a mile away from the stadium. We are hosting Clarion today.
ReplyDeleteGo Huskies!
Have fun Justin.
ReplyDeleteIf Kansas wins more than 4 games this year, I'll be surprised.
ReplyDeleteFlorida looks terrible. And it's not just the offense, it's the defense.
ReplyDeleteBloomsburg 41, Clarion 13.
ReplyDeleteVuvuzelas at football games rule.
JMU beat Virginia Tech. I think you can say goodbye to Boise St.'s title hopes.
ReplyDeletewhere's RJBO? Michigan's in the lead at The Place That Shall Not Be Named in Indiana.
ReplyDeleteThis Federer/Djokovic tennis match is absolutely fantastic at the moment
ReplyDeletewhere's RJBO?
ReplyDeleteFamily reunion + steady rain + being the designated driver = zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
I got home in time to see SHOELACE'S GW TD TO RESTORE MICHIGAN TO GLORY!!!!!
/trying..not..to get...sucked..IN!
Robert Smith: "Denard Robinson is the leader in the clubhouse for the Heisman."
ReplyDelete???? Dude, it's only two F---ING GAMES! Calm the fuck down with the hyperbole, former Buckeye.
Well that drive could have gone better for PSU.
ReplyDeleteI'm watching WDIV's Mich-ND postgame with Gary Moeller.
ReplyDeleteWow. He sounds like he just left the Excalibur Restaurant again.
/"Take me to jail, boys"d
That was a fantastic catch by Moye.
ReplyDeleteHightower drilled Bolden on that pick.
ReplyDeleteHuge mistake by Bolden. Should have taken the sack.
ReplyDeleteIt must be said, though, how in the wide world was that not pass interference?
ReplyDeleteNever mind. Bolden was hit as he threw. That means fair game on the WRs.
ReplyDeleteRichardson is plowing right through Penn State. Geez.
ReplyDeleteRobert Smith on the ACC: "In the land of the blind, the one-eyed are kings."
ReplyDeleteWinnar!
Penn State tackling is flat out horrendous.
ReplyDeletePenn State tackling is flat out horrendous.
ReplyDeleteTouchdown Bama. Can't say this is too shocking.
ReplyDelete14-0 'Bama. 97 yard TD drive.
ReplyDelete...when is the lightning delay going to be over in Knoxville?
Who is hosting the live blog tomorrow?
ReplyDeleteIf nothing else, Penn State has shown the ability to move the ball on the defense.

ReplyDeleteWho is hosting the live blog tomorrow?
ReplyDeleteI haven't a clue...
/won't be the first time I'll say that
//nor last
What a reverse! Penn State's not dead yet.
ReplyDelete@ RJBO: I don't think anyone has any idea. I'll be around.
ReplyDeleteWhat in the wide world was that?
ReplyDeletePat Summerall approves of Brent's call of that fumble late. Geez.
ReplyDeleteThat's Bama ball at the 2. Bleh.
ReplyDelete"Penn State's ball," Vitvoet???
ReplyDeletePenn State ball????????????
ReplyDeleteBrent: "That's one of the Big Ten's better referees." HA!
ReplyDeleteWhat a kooky sequence of fumbles. Wow.
ReplyDeleteBrent, stop calling the Nittany Lions the "Lions." Penn State has won more than 3 games combined in the last two seasons.
ReplyDeleteAll that and the drive ends in a punt.
ReplyDeleteAlabama are getting away with every sort of hold imaginable.
ReplyDeleteHerm Edwards is absolutely abysmal on college football.
ReplyDeletePenn State gets the ball to start the 2nd half. If they can manage to score on this drive, this game is not over by a long shot.
ReplyDeleteTOUCHDOWN WYOMING! UPSET CITY!
ReplyDelete/it's only the 2nd quarter
That incompletion hurts a lot.
ReplyDeleteWhat a tremendous day. I found out my brother is finally in the maintenance part of his Leukemia treatments, meaning he doesn't have to take chemo unless something goes wrong.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I watched a good part of the Michigan-Notre Dame. I'll drink the Michigan cool-aid now.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to your brother, Keith. Continue fighting the good fight.
ReplyDeleteI'll drink the Michigan cool-aid now.
UMass, BG & Indiana will mean you won't be the only one in the next 3 weeks. I'll stand by my insistence of Michigan beating someone of consequence in conference.
PSU has a timeout left. If they can get a FG to end this half, that would be awesome.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the good news for your brother, Keith!
ReplyDelete@RJBO: What impresses me about Michigan, is that their defense actually looks good. Robinson is a capable QB, but it's the Michigan defense that worried me.
ReplyDeleteBTW, nothing would make me happier than an Oregon loss to Tennessee.
BTW, I'll run the live blog tomorrow. I might not be here next Sunday.
ReplyDeleteMichigan almost gave away the game on ND's final drive with prevent defense, though.
ReplyDelete/will definitely take the 2-0 start
//will also take 502 total yards from Denard
"Mee-chigan hangs on." - Rece Davis
ReplyDeleteBTW, how about Cal stomping Colorado today?
ReplyDelete/Cal = Dick Tease. They'll always leave you with blue balls.
Brando does the Bob Ufer impersonation whenever he can, too, Jfein.
ReplyDelete/Ufer was before my time
//honks horns
@ RJBO: Brando did it better than Rece just did.
ReplyDelete"This is not New Mexico."-Mike Patrick
ReplyDeleteJFein, usually 'Brando' comes after 'better than' if they're in the same sentence.
ReplyDelete/you're right tonight
A touchdown to start this half would do Penn State a wonder of good.
ReplyDeleteOk, everything is set up for tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteIf this is short, I would go for it.
ReplyDeleteSNEAK IT!
ReplyDeleteGotta pick up this 4th and a smidge.
ReplyDeleteBolden gaining some confidence. Nice completion.
ReplyDeleteSpoke too soon. Another pick.
ReplyDeleteUgh. If Penn State played a perfect game, they could very well be ahead in this game. Alabama will be very lucky to go undefeated this season.
ReplyDeletePSU defense bails the offense out of that mistake, but the offense needs to do something about it. They can't continue shooting themselves in the foot, especially as they have shown an ability to move the football against this Alabama defense.
ReplyDelete@Justin: You need to sign up at EDSBS on SB Nation. S2N comments there regularly.
ReplyDeleteZug with the Braylon Edwards hands on that wide open ball.
ReplyDeleteHow did Zug drop that? Ugh.
ReplyDeleteBrent on Trent Richardson: "Look at the size of those arms, Herbie. He's a man!" Get a room!
ReplyDeletePenn State's been holding their own, but they need to score.
ReplyDeleteBrent: "At the age of three, you learn to say 'Roll Tide!,' and you take it from there."
ReplyDeleteIs that all you learn in Alabama?
Uh oh.
ReplyDelete@ RJBO: Yes.
ReplyDeleteOf course Craig James saw that penalty coming.
ReplyDelete/Ass
I didn't think it was possible for someone else to make Mike Patrick likable. Craig James does that perfectly.
ReplyDeleteTrent Richardson didn't get in.
ReplyDelete/Ohio refs in that high school game against Jack Nicklaus' grandson'd
More important question: does Craig James make Mike Patrick seem more lucid?
ReplyDelete@RJBO: Sadly, yes.
ReplyDeleteSilas Redd FTW!
ReplyDeleteA parallel to the Patrick-James combo would be the old duo of Hawk Harrelson & Wimpy (Tom Paciorek); Hawk never seemed as much of a homer when he did games with 'the Wimperoo' as he called him; now Hawk dominates whoever is the color analyst.
ReplyDelete/sorry to invoke that name on a college football Saturday
//just flipped to WGN America
Thanks a lot RJBO. I made the mistake of flipping over to WGN America because we're at halftime of this game.
ReplyDeleteUVA-USC should be entertaining, at least in determining how loud Petros can scream.
ReplyDeleteThe prospect of this Penn State team in the next few years is really great.
ReplyDelete@RJBO: Plus he's calling the game with Barry Tompkins. Always an entertaining duo.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see them kick the FG and avoid the shutout. Good call, JoePa.
ReplyDeleteAs Brent does the Ravens-Jets read again, anyone determine how many 'credits' did Brent put on the Ravens to win the Super Bowl?
ReplyDeleteCraig James: "Tennessee better come out of that locker room with their dauber ready to sting or they'll get stung themselves." ?
ReplyDeleteGood game, Bolden. He did himself proud tonight.
ReplyDeleteSEC! SEC! SEC! SEC! SEC! SEC!
ReplyDelete/they weren't chanting that in Vaught-Hemingway last Saturday
Who knew The Human League's "(Keep Feeling) Fascination" was so popular even today?
ReplyDelete/Kingsford Charcoal & Samsung's Fascinate Phone commercial'd
It's a loss, but it's a loss I can feel good about. Penn State played well, was competitive with the #1 team in the nation, and Robert Bolden played very well all things considered. Penn State is not making much noise in 2010, but this was a learning experience that they will take into the rest of this year and more importantly into next year where they might be able to contend for a national championship.
ReplyDeleteSo much for Tennessee. 72 yarder for Lamichael James. Wow.
ReplyDeleteRece on the Stoops brother facing off: "If this had been back in the day, Mark would say 'Mom! Make him stop! Get Bob off of me!'"
ReplyDeleteVlasic pickle by Simms returned for another Oregon touchdown. Back in the shower for the Vols.
ReplyDeletePenn State can still finish in the upper half of the Big Ten and possibly make it to a New Years Day bowl.
Nothing can finish off a wonderful day quite like Petros screaming at me for three hours.
ReplyDeleteCraig James on Berman's mustache: "I haven't see the mustache. He would have more hair on his lip than he did on his head."
ReplyDelete@RJBO: I don't know if you saw that article, but Berman admitted almost becoming the SF Giants announcer.
ReplyDelete/Thank God that didn't happen
Keith, those things about who's up for announcing jobs work both ways.
ReplyDelete/Gus Johnson was the Saturday fill-in for the Tigers when Josh Lewin did national games for Fox in the late 1990s
Your right RJBO, because the Giants named Duane Kuiper the announcer that year.
ReplyDeleteI want to watch UVA-USC, but Max Scherzer and his different colored eyeballs is being interviewed in the Tigers Live postgame.
ReplyDeleteIt's Oregon and everyone else in the Pac-10. What a 2nd-half performance.
ReplyDeleteThere's so much hair gel in the Coliseum right now, BP should be forced to apologize.
ReplyDeletePatrick: "Ohio State out-physicaled Miami." Bob Griese is in agreeance with this assessment.
ReplyDeleteMike Patrick: "There's so much new media now, that if anything happens, there's no place to hide. Someone's gonna find out about it." The same applies for bad announcers...
ReplyDeleteAs I doze off (read: pass out from too many Newcastles) to UVA-USC, this old Melchior post means this terrible show's theme song will send me to dreamland.
ReplyDelete/"...and in my opinionation, the sun is gonna surely shine"d
