Pittsburgh 3 Chicago Cubs 2: The Pirates flat out own the Cubs. The Pirates have beat the Cubs seven times already this season. Neil Walker picked one hell of a time to hit his first career home run. Walker hit a two-run home run in the eighth inning to give the Pirates the lead, which they would hold onto for the victory.
NY Yankees 3 Baltimore 1: Javier Vasquez apparently can only win games against National League opponents and the Orioles. Vasquez picked up the decision after Miguel Tejada committed a throwing error which lead to two Yankee runs. Vasquez gave up four hits, one run, in seven innings of work.
Florida 6 Milwaukee 4: When the Marlins aren't selling unused Perfect Game tickets, they are roughing Trevor Hoffman. Which seems to be a common theme this year, Hoffman was roughed up in a inning giving up 3 hits and 3 runs picking up his fourth loss of the season. Is it time for the Brewers to cut ties with Hoffman?
Toronto 6 Tampa Bay 7: The ninth inning of the Jays-Rays game was pretty crazy, so let me give you a condensed version. The Blue Jays were leading 5-3 in the top of the ninth inning, then all hell broke out. Both Kevin Gregg and Joe Madon were tossed in the ninth a which featured five runs scored including a run scored on a bases-loaded walk.
Boston 9 Oakland 4: The Red Sox rallied from a four-run deficit to beat the A's. Victor Martinez had five hits in the game including four doubles one of which drove in the game-winning run. There was a total of 13 runs, 27 hits, two home runs, 8 doubles, 2 triples, hit in the game. I guess the pitchers took the night off.
Chicago White Sox 6 Texas 9: The White Sox also blew a 4-0 lead on Tuesday night. Ian Kinsler drove in three runs to go along with two RBI's from Just Smoak and Craig Gentry. Josh Hamilton and David Murphy each had three hits as Texas snapped a four-game losing streak.
Atlanta 7 Philadelphia 3: The Braves take a 1/2 game lead over the Phillies in the AL East. The Phillies have lost seven out of their past ten games recently. In the rain-soaked game, Troy Glaus hit a three-run home run and Tim Hudson picked up the victory for the Braves. Hudson extended his five-game hitting streak in the game.
San Diego 2 NY Mets 4: David Wright and Ike Davis homers was all what the Mets needed to beat San Diego. That was all what the Mets needed because Mike Pelfrey shut down the Padres in eight innings giving up one run, four hits, four walks, and struck out eight. Pelfrey is now 8-1 on the season.
Orlando Cabrera did something with the Good Guys besides calling the official scorer during games about his errors?
