Baseball Update: Sammy Sosa Tested Positive for PED's

This really shouldn't come to a shock to nobody. We all remember Sosa on Capital Hill pretending not to know English. So it shouldn't come as a shock that Sammy Sosa is one of the players who tested positive in 2003, along with A-Rod.

Sammy Sosa, who joined with Mark McGwire in 1998 in a celebrated pursuit of baseball’s single-season home run record, is among the players who tested positive for a performance-enhancing drug in 2003, according to lawyers with knowledge of the drug-testing results from that year.

Everyone said it was only a matter of time before more names came out from the 2003 list of 104 players who tested positive for PED's. A-Rod was the first and Sosa is the second. I wouldn't be surprised if there are more big names that will come out.

The steroid era in baseball is still with us, and I still believe it will linger longer. It's just a matter of time before another big name is dropped as a PED user.
