I Blame Chris Webber!

As you all know the NBA draft order has been set. Even though Sacramento had the best chance at the overall number one pick, they received the fourth pick. I could have been fine with the 2nd or 3rd pick because this draft isn't very deep, but no we pick at fourth. And the only person to blame for this disaster is Chris Webber.

Webber represented the Kings in New York at the Lottery. And in true Webber fashion, he was a bad luck charm. The Kings should have chosen a fan, like they did last year. Or they should have gone with Vlade Divac because of all the goodwill he has done. But no, they go with Webber. Chris Webber is the biggest bad luck charm there is. Take a look at his track record.

- Lead Michigan and Fab Five to two straight National Championships. They lost both.

- Called a timeout when Michigan didn't have any. They ended up losing to North Carolina. And Michigan had a better team that year.

- Had a long feud with Don Nelson while in Golden St.

- In 1998, Webber was arrested twice while with Washington.

- Was the main component in the Ed Martin Scandal at Michigan. Wolverine basketball had a long battle to get back in the NCAA Tournament.

- Michigan had to forfeit an s-load of wins because of the scandal.

- Traded to Sacramento, but always disappeared in the playoffs.
- In 2002, the Kings are robbed a chance at the NBA Finals by David Stern and the refs.

- In 2003, he blew out his knee. Career never recovered.

- In 2005, he was traded to Philadelphia.

- In 2006, both Webber and Allen Iverson skipped fan appreciation night in Philly.

- In 2007, tried to bandwagon with the Detroit Pistons. They were beat by Cleveland in the Conference Finals.

- In 2008, tried to make a comeback with Golden St. The Warriors missed the playoffs despite winning 48 games.

This man is a walking disaster. And the Sacramento Kings choose him to represent the team. On the other hand, I choose to blame the Maloof brothers. They want this team to lose for they can move them and break the hearts of Kings fans who voted down those measures a couple of years ago that would have given the Kings a new arena.

F, Chris Webber and F, the Maloof brothers.

  1. The only thing missing from that list is "Couldn't hit 300+ pound target from 15 feet."Plus, I think I deserve some share of the blame for my comment in the George Brett story (somewhere around 99%).
