My thoughts and prayers go out to the Schoeneweis family.
8 Marlins 6 Diamondbacks in Game 1: Arizona was shocked by the death of the wife of relief pitcher Scott Schoeneweis before the game and they couldn't recover. Dan Uggla homered and drove in four runs for Florida. Jorge Cantu, Cody Ross, and Wes Helms each drove in runs for Arizona. Chris Volstad picked up the win for Florida and Doug Davis picked up the loss for Arizona. At least the fans showed up to route for the home team Marlins.

Doug Davis Quote: From the AP: “I was told about 30 minutes before I was about to go out,” Arizona starter Doug Davis said after the Diamondbacks’ 8-6 loss to Florida on Wednesday night in the first game of a doubleheader. “Obviously, our thoughts and prayers are with him. It is a tough time for not just him, but all of us and his family. It’s tragic.” Definitely, I feel for the family.
5 Tigers 3 Rangers: Despite hitting into a triple-play the Detroit Tigers won their fifth straight game. Justin Verlander gave up three runs in six innings but he struck out eight batters. Mike Francesa's favorite player homered in the game for Detroit. Wilkin Ramirez, making his major league debut, hit a tie breaking first career home run in the sixth inning for Detroit. Gerald Laird of Detroit hit into a triple play in the game.
5 Reds 1 Phillies: Aaron Harang held the powerful Phillies lineup to a Raul Ibanez solo home run. Brandon Phillips drove in three runs for Cincinnati. Old man Jamie Moyer still doesn't have a win in May. Time for retirement for Moyer?
2 Pirates 1 Nationals: The Washington bullpen sucks so badly, it's hard to even describe. Coming into the series, Pittsburgh was one of the worst teams in the Majors. Well they are still one of the worst teams, but the Nationals bullpen made them look like World Series contenders.
This is the third night in a row, the Nationals bullpen blew the game. This time Nationals reliever Joel Hanrahan threw a wild pitch that allowed the winning run for Pittsburgh to score. How Natinals off them.
This picture alone describes the Nationals season.

7 A's 6 Rays: Tampa Bay is who we thought they were. A poor excuse for a team. They were once again beat by a poor Oakland team. Brett Anderson finally picked up his first career win after seven tries for Oakland. Six Oakland players had at least one RBI in the game. And once again Scott Kazmir(4-4) had another dismal outing. Kazmir allowed seven runs, eight hits, four walks in 4 1-3 innings. Only Yankee Stadium and Tropicana Field are the only parks were at least one home run has been hit.
Another Lineup Screw Up: Cecil Cooper of the Astros has become the second coach in a week to turn in a screwed up lineup card. Cooper had Kaz Matsui batting first but Michael Bourn leadoff the game. Brewers manager Ken Macha showed the umpire the mistake and Matsui was called out in the on deck circle, and Bourn had to bat again.
8 Red Sox 3 Blue Jays: CELEBRATE RED SOX NATION, DAVID ORTIZ HAS HIT A HOME RUN! HE MUST HAVE FOUND HIS JUICE, ERR MUST HAVE FOUND HIS SWING.
11 Orioles 4 Orioles: The only thing important about this game was the Yankees won their eighth game in a row and a total of six home runs were hit. Off course they were playing at Coors Field East.
