The Sacramento Kings have lost 8 straight games and were embarrassed by the Denver Nuggetsby 33-at home. Theus's short leash, got a little tighter, and he might finally get chocked out.
The Maloof Brothers were the ones who hired Theus last year, not their GM Geoff Petrie. Yahoo Sports had a great article about GM's who want their own coach.
But with this all said, is this year's bad start really his fault. Injuries have plagued this team from the beginning. Fransisco Garcia was hurt in pre-season, Kevin Martin got hurt in game 7, and now John Salmons has went on the injured list.
This is not an excuse though for the teams lack of defense. They have been out rebounded by almost every team and just haven't executed on offense. Theus has lost control of the team and might need to be shown the door.
He has 7 assistants who can take over for him.
