Well with the end of the college football season and all the talk once again about a playoff, I thought I would lay off that talk, and give you five reasons to watch college football this weekend.
5. Bad Football- Washington and Washington St. play this weekend. The apple cup is very intriguing this year because both teams are horrible. I mean someone has to win this game right. Washington St. has room to improve because they have a first year coach and lots of promise. Washington on the other hand is just a disaster. The fired Tyrone Willingham and the facilities are falling apart. On the other hand though, it sure is beautiful up there.
4. Who Wins the ACC?- Miami and Georgia Tech play tonight and North Carolina and North Carolina St. play Saturday. The ACC this year has been a back and forth contest. No one has jumped ahead of the pack. My prediction: North Carolina wins the ACC.
3. Can Joe Pa win the Big Ten?- Penn St. can wrap up the Big Ten and get the Rose Bowl bid against an improved Michigan St. team. Michigan St. is much improved this year under Mark Dantonio. The Penn St. spread HD offense needs to get going again for they can have a chance of beating Michigan St.
2. Holy War- Yes the match up between Utan and BYU can determine the fate of Utah's BCS dreams. A loss by Utah means they have been knocked out of the BCS picture. A win could mean a undefeated season and a possible Fiesta Bowl bid.
1. Who can stop who?- The match up between Texas Tech and Oklahoma is the most intriguing match up of the weekend. Texas Techs wide open, score at will offense versus Oklahoma's fast break, score at will offense. You will see a lot of points scored in this game. And whoever has the ball last could win, just like the Texas Tech-Texas game.
