So tonight was Bob Knight's first game as a color commentator for ESPN's coverage of college basketball. The game was a Duke blowout of Southern Illinois. But the main focus was on Knight.
Knight teamed up with Dan Shulman to call the action. He was a little wooden, but he shared his knowledge of the game with the audience. He was also a breathe of fresh air compared to the ultra hyperbole that comes out of Dukie V's mouth.
I will be very interested how Knight does every Thursday when he is teamed up with Brent Musberger. If he can loosen up, he could be the best analyst ESPN could have covering college basketball.
