Misc: RFK Stadium has to be used for something right? Also it figures Daniel Snyder would never let EagleBank use his stadium for this bowl game.
Random thoughts: The story of this game is obviously is the fact that this is Temple's first bowl appearance in 30 years. UCLA is obviously the favorite because they simply have better players than Temple, but it will be interesting to see if UCLA can match Temple's passion.
I can't root for Temple because they are Temple and I go to St. Joesph's.

ReplyDeleteTemple is going to play their hearts out in this game. Now will it be enough or not, I don't know, but it could be a very entertaining game to watch.

ReplyDeleteIf ever there was a terrible day/night for a west coast team to be playing a bowl game in the cold northeast, today is it. It is cold, it is windy, and their opponent is used to it.

ReplyDeleteRandom story that might amuse you. I went to high school with someone who is now a back-up linebacker for this Owl football team (I don't think he has ever seen any playing time this year as I am yet to find any stats for him). Anyway, Stephen Johnson (also known as Steve) was always in my gym class. How that happened, I don't know but he was a beast at just about every sport and head and shoulders the best of the class. Anyway, one day he was on my ultimate frisbee team and me and him had a breakaway with no one close behind us. Per the rules of ultimate frisbee, you have to pass it every 3 steps. Anyway as we were passing it, I bobbled one pass 10 times off my hand before I eventually caught it. We ended up scoring and afterward he looked me in the eye and said with no equivocation: "If you dropped that, I would have hurt you".
I was thankful I caught that frisbee.
I love watching Temple taking it too UCLA.
