College Football Open Thread: New Year's Eve Style

There are five bowl games on today, with the first one starting at 12:00 eastern. Remember that the Sun Bowl is on CBS while the Insight Bowl is on the NFL Network. The rest of the games will be on ESPN. Enjoy the games, leave comments, and don't be a troll.

Bowl Game Schedule:
Armed Forces Bowl: Houston vs. Air Force 12:00 (ESPN - Dave Lamont and JC Pearson, SR: Cara Capuano)

Brut Sun Bowl: Stanford vs. Oklahoma 2:00 (CBS - Craig Bolerjack and Steve Beuerlein, SR: Sam Ryan)

Texas Bowl: Missouri vs. Navy 3:30 (ESPN - Mark Jones and Bob Davie, SR: Quint Kessenich)

Insight Bowl: Iowa State vs. Minnesota 6:00 (NFL Network - Paul Burmeister and Mike Mayock, SR: Stacey Dales)

Chick-Fil-A Bowl: Virginia Tech vs. Tennessee 7:30 (ESPN - Sean McDonough and Matt Millen, SR: Holly Rowe)

    also El Paso, Boise and DC have to be the 3 worst places for a bowl game, right?

    I've only been to El Paso and yeah it's a horrible place for a bowl game, even though that game has been played for a long time.

    El Paso is dump along the US-Mexico border.

    dump is also the word i'd use to describe 90% of Washington DC...

    OU just got a huge break with that penalty, giving them a 2nd FG try to grab the lead

    I've never been to Boise but my dad has. He says it's quite beautiful.
