Finally! Sharks Win

Finally! The Sharks win a game against Anaheim

Finally! The Sharks score more than two goals.

Finally! Patrick Marleau scored a goal

Finally! Both Dan Boyle and Rob Blake showed the rest of the team how to win a playoff game.

While I do realize the Sharks are still down 2-1 in the series, they finally played up to their potential last night against Anaheim.

They are flat out better than Anaheim. But they let the Ducks get into their heads the first two games, and Anaheim took the series lead. It has happened to them before, which the Ducks knew and took advantage off.

Also Patrick Marleau finally got going. Marleau basically disappeared for the first two games of the series. Marleau has been known to disappear in playoff games, which their old coach Ron Wilson would criticize Marleau about. He is the captain of the team, and he needs to lead by example. He is too talented to disappear in the playoffs. The Sharks need more production from him if they want to win this series.

The Sharks though more importantly need to prove to themselves, they are not playoff chokes. They need to feed off the energy this game created for the rest of the series.

Because if they don't, the Sharks just become a punchline in the hockey circles.
