Cavaliers 96, Magic 95: What more can I say, other than LeBron James is the effing man. What a shot! Down by 23 at one point, the Magic had rallied back and it appeared as if the comeback would be successful as Hedo Turkoglu hit what appeared to be the game-winning shot, a 2-point jumper with 1 second left that made the score 95-93 Orlando. But the Cavs would call a timeout and LeBron James proceeded to hit what very well may be the biggest shot of his career....
Even though he does not have internet access, hopefully Keith does have television access because that was truly an incredible shot and an incredible finish.
Blackhawks 4, Red Wings 3 F/OT: Oh yeah, Game 3 of the western conference finals in the NHL went into this little thing we know as overtime. While it most certainly will be a lost headline tonight after what LeBron did, the Blackhawks were up 3-0 in the 2nd and it looked like they would cruise to victory, but that was before the Red Wings knocked home 3 goals in the last half of the 2nd causing the Blackhawks to pull Khabibulin at the start of the 3rd and substitute him with Cristobal Huet between the pipes. The 3rd period would go scoreless setting up an overtime which was won by Patrick Sharp not even 2-minutes into it. And once again, here's the video!
And in case Keith does not have TV access and does not know any of what is going on right now, the Giants outdid themselves once again tonight, losing 2 to 1 to the Seattle Mariners. THE SEATTLE EFFING MARINERS!!!! Thank goodness I'm a Phillies fan! Phils ended the Yanks 9-game winning streak 7-3 in a game that featured 7 total home runs, 49er16's favorite Phillies pitcher, Brett "Boom Outta Here" Myers, lasting a full 8 innings despite giving up 3 solo home runs, and 4 Phillies home runs including J-Roll knocking out the 1st pitch of the game and Jayson Werth being the first person to send one into the 2nd deck in left field in the New Yankee Stadium.

Loose Pucks And Buzzer Beaters: Geno's A Mad Hatter!
Loose Pucks And Buzzer Beaters is your daily Memorial Day Weekend look at the action in the NBA and NHL Playoffs (instead of Foul Balls and MLB) guest posted by JFein from Fire Andy Reid Now!)
Penguins 7, Hurricanes 4: Evgeni "Geno" Malkin has gone from the invisible Penguin to one of the team and playoff leaders as he racked up a hat trick in an exciting 7-4 win over the Carolina Hurricanes. Don't be deceived by the score, this game was a thriller that consisted of 5 goals in the first 10 minutes and the Pens did not have the game sealed until Malkin notched a no-look, backahd 3rd goal with 7:35 to go and Tyler Kennedy notched an empty netter with over 1 minute left in the game. Afterwards though, it took nearly 15 minutes to play the final minute of that game as fights and near fights were breaking out everywhere. (Video of the hat trick goal at the bottom.
Sidney Crosby quote on Malkin: "If anything, you want to use it as motivation to play. There are times when it might frustrate you, but you can't let it show -- especially in the playoffs. So that's the best way to do it, and he proved that tonight."
Nuggets 106, Lakers 103: Down 14 at one point, the Denver Nuggets rallied to even the series at 1-1 by defeating the Lakers 106-103. What started out as a rather dull NBA Playoffs (except for Bulls-Celtics) as gotten quite exciting and the Nuggets evened the series by doing the one thing they were not able to do in the clutch in Game 1 of this series: Make Free throws. They had hit 17 in a row at one point during the game and in comparison to the debacle in Game 1, that was more than enough to put them over the top of Kobe and the Lakers.
