Coors Field'd

The Giants had one of those games at Coors Field last night that happens every single year. The Giants were down 6-0 and then came back to take the lead at 7-6. And then their bullpen imploded giving the Rockies a 9-run victory.

What angered Giants fans the most about this game is Brandon Belt not starting, then being put in the game on a double switch only to be pulled again for Brett Fucking Pill. (Read Grant Brisbee's piece on why Giants fans are tired of Bruce Bochy fucking around with Belt) Of course Pill went on to commit two errors on one play, a play that actually broke gameday for a while before finally spitting out this mess of a description of the play. (Update!:) Grant Brisbee Benny Hill'd that play for all of our enjoyment.

(Update, Part 2!) Thanks to the great xanthan from Bay City Ball for creating the .gif of last night's Benny Hill influenced play.

Today young Madison Bumgarner faces old Jaime Moyer at Coors Field. Moyer was already in his 4th year as a major leaguer when Bumgarner was born giving you the image of the huge age difference between the two players.

This game will predictably go one way or the other. Either Moyer throws a complete game shutout or this will be another Coors Field'd type of game. Book it.
