For the third year in a row ESPN the Magazine steals Sport Illustrated's swimsuit idea by having athletes pose nude. Why athletes would want to take these awkward looking photos I have no idea. Take for example gymnast Alicia Sacramone who poses nude on a high beam.
I know people have different reactions to nude pictures. Maybe you're aroused, maybe you're impressed with their bodies, maybe you're disgusted. I'm sorry but I'm laughing at all these photos. They are just so awkward to look at. Take one look at this picture of Indy car driver Helio Castroneves and tell me you did not laugh. The guy is posing nude through a hanging tire. And I'm sorry but when I think of hanging tires now I think of Viagra ads.
I'm not one to judge. If you think this is sexy, good for you. I'm going to stare at these photos for a good laugh.

ReplyDeleteI find the pictures both awkward and arousing. I like the girls who don't have six packs or aren't showing off their rib cages.
ReplyDeleteI do gotta admit. I find the tattooed chick oddly erotic.
ReplyDeleteHuman bodies are amazingly agile, versatile, and balanced. Atheletes have better shapes and texture than most. The athletes are proud to show off their hard-earned chiseled shapes, and audience can find joy, inspiration, and visual stimulation in these photos. Body and mind are two-sides of the same human coin. Celebrate, enjoy, and not deny these feelings : )
