Today Nike released six more teams that will wear their Pro Combat jersey's during this season (Sparty, Ohio State, LSU, Stanford, Army, and Navy). As expected some of the uniforms are crappy with cool accessories while some of the uniforms are really cool to look at. Let's take a look.
Michigan State's uniforms make Sparty look like they're Colorado State. Not a good look for Michigan State until you realize that The Situation was on their sideline last Saturday so Sparty has already been embarrassed this week.
LSU's uniforms are acceptable, especially their gloves.
Ohio State's jersey's are more plain than anything. They still haven't gotten over Jim Tressel and the Nike Pro Combat jersey's prove it.
Stanford's uniforms are horrendous. Stanford has never had black in their traditional uniforms and now Nike decides to make half their jersey's black. Also Stanford's jersey's make the players look like blood clots.
The Army's uniforms basically don't change under the Nike Pro Combat theme.
The Navy's uniforms are the best that Nike has come up with in this series. Navy blue with gold numbers and lettering. I even like the white helmets with the gold anchor.
I've been a huge critic of the Nike Pro Combat series but it seems like the uniforms are starting to get better. Besides Michigan State and Stanford, the rest of the jersey's are either fine or acceptable. Nike needs to realize they don't need to go over the top on these uniforms like they do for Oregon.
