It's finally here! The first Saturday of the college football season. Or as I like to call it, Christmas morning. After a long offseason we can finally watch teams play it out on the field. I can barely hold my excitement. So leave your comments on whatever game you're watching here, enjoy the games, and don't troll.
Must List and Announcing schedule
Penn State return the opening kick for a touchdown!
ReplyDeleteI'm the only person that cares about this, but I think the refs look ridiculous wearing the black pants.
ReplyDelete@Kris: You're not the only one.
ReplyDelete@Keith How did your brother's day go yesterday?
ReplyDeleteDidn't get to meet Lincecum because he was preparing for today's start, but we did get to meet Torres and Bumgarner. Pictures are uploading right now. I'll tweet them when they're ready.
ReplyDeleteO$U scores against 1 Win Akron.
ReplyDelete"Best Terrell Pryor impression, who needs Pryor" Spielman

ReplyDeleteAuburn is going to be bad this year. Utah State has already scored on them.
ReplyDeleteKerwin Williams with the TD run for Utah State. And the ridiculous haircut to boot.
ReplyDeleteApplebees has a commercial with Boomer & the former Bachelor. You know football season is here when...
ReplyDeleteUtah State is leading Auburn 7-0 after Wesley Snipes from Demolition Man scored a TD.
ReplyDeleteSilas Redd touchdown Penn State!
ReplyDelete14-0 PSU over the Sycamores of Indiana State.
ReplyDeleteEmory Blake 56 yard TD catch & run for Auburn
ReplyDeleteI think Meyer is afraid of Spielman. Or he's a very soft speaker. Either one.
ReplyDeleteBeth Mowins looking good this afternoon...
ReplyDeleteYep O$U just turned it over inside the red zone, Akron recovers the fumble. Remember, Akron had 1 W last year.
ReplyDeleteISU is getting nothing accomplished on offense today. It's the 1st quarter and it's already ugly in Happy Valley.
ReplyDeleteWow... Utah State going for it on 4th & Goal... KEETON keeps it!! TD Utah State!
ReplyDeleteUtah State converted on 3rd & 20 and 4th & Goal from the 4... 14-7 Aggies
ReplyDeleteAlabama is going National Guard on Kent State.
ReplyDelete/Too Soon?
McGloin in the game now. Ugh. I prefer Bolden.
ReplyDeleteZordich runs it in for another Penn State touchdown. 21-0 over Insiana State. Matt Devlin and Glen Mason are calling the game for the B1G Network.
ReplyDeleteUSU is going to score again on Auburn.
ReplyDeleteEagles are cutting Chad Hall. That likely means Sinorice Moss (Santana's little brother) makes the roster as a 6th WR, special teamer.
ReplyDeleteAs soon as I type that, Aaron Wilson of FoxSports tweets that the Eagles have released Sinorice Moss. I guess Johnnie Lee Higgins makes the team as that 6th WR.
ReplyDelete@Kris: I enjoyed your post yesterday. Thanks for doing it.
ReplyDelete@Justin: When did the Eagles start taking in Raiders rejects?
Matt Devlin is easily excitable.
ReplyDeleteVa Tech is like the opposite of Michigan against App State.
ReplyDelete/Somewhere RJBO cries
The ACC Network might want to rename that "TeaFreaks" promotion....
ReplyDelete@Keith Thank You. I really didn't want to rehash the Miami/O$U/Auburn situations.

ReplyDeleteMatt McGloin is the 2nd coming of Brett Favre. I fear for humanity.
ReplyDeleteI've missed Wendi Nix.
ReplyDeleteHalftime at Happy Valley.
ReplyDeletePenn State 28, Indiana State 0
Napa didn't retire that stupid Kno-no-no-no- how commercial?
ReplyDeleteGlen Mason is hard for Matt McGloin. This is disturbing to listen to.
ReplyDelete"B1G: Honoring Legends. Building Leaders."
ReplyDeleteBe lucky you are not watching these commercials.
Also, I love Rece Davis for finally given me a way to remember what teams are in the B1G Divisions. Schools that start with the letter "M," "N," and Iowa are Legends, and everyone else are Leaders. Thanks, Rece!
Now if only I could figure out a way to remember Atlantic and Coastal in the ACC.....
@Justin The ACC Divisions make no sense and there is no easy way to remember them.
ReplyDelete@Justin & Kris: Thankfully the Pac-10 didn't go with hokey division names.
ReplyDeleteAnd Penn State scores again.
ReplyDeleteMarvin Lewis interview on the B1G. His son plays at ISU. Bleh.
ReplyDeleteGene Chizik channeling his inner Andy Reid now.
ReplyDeleteThe ACC could have gone North & South, but that would have been absurdly one sided to the South.
ReplyDeleteUtah State with the lead again. And Auburn has already burned two timeouts.
ReplyDeleteUtah State 24, Auburn 21.
ReplyDeleteGeez.
@ Kris: Instead the divisions are so that it is impossible to memorize them. Good planning on their part.
ReplyDelete/Still has more reasonable names than "Legends" and "Leaders".
Should I start cooking lunch now in preparations for the noon games? Yes I should.
ReplyDelete@Justin I particularly enjoy how Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech are in the "Coastal" Division.
ReplyDelete/no where near the coast'd
@Kris: That would be like the Pac-10 putting Utah and Colorado in the "Coastal" Division.
ReplyDeleteUtah State inside Auburn's 10 yard line. Here we go again.
ReplyDelete@ Kris: They also are not anywhere near the Atlantic......
ReplyDeleteTOUCHDOWN UTAH STATE! Aggies back on top 31-28. 11:20 to go in the game.
ReplyDeleteAfter some discussion we have a Utah State touchdown!
ReplyDelete"I tell you what guys, we have us a ballgame."-- Mike Bellotti
/Captain Obvious'd
Touchdown Utah State! Okay I'm going to cook lunch/dinner.
ReplyDeleteIf Stu Morrill were coaching, Utah State would find a way to lose this game.
ReplyDeletePer Darren Rovell, Auburn is paying Utah State 950K for playing this game. Maybe they should have invested it with Cecil Newton instead.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see Utah State go for this 1st Down inside the 5.
ReplyDeleteIndiana State prevents the shutout.
ReplyDeleteThey go for the fake FG! And it's completed!
ReplyDeleteThis play is going to review. I think that is a good catch for Utah State.
ReplyDeleteFirst Down Utah State!
ReplyDeletePenn State win 41-7.
ReplyDeleteTOUCHDOWN UTAH STATE! 3:38 TO GO IN AUBURN!
ReplyDeleteTOUCHDOWN UTAH STATE WITH 3:38 LEFT!
ReplyDeleteThe Auburn fans are clearing out like Keith during a Giants game.
ReplyDelete/What have you done for me lately?
Just like that, Auburn has a 1st and Goal.
ReplyDeleteApp State has finally scored in Blacksburg. Va Tech's lead is down to 59-6.
ReplyDelete/RJBO weeps
TOUCHDOWN AUBURN!
ReplyDeleteTouchdown Auburn with 2:07 left! Those 3rd quarter timeouts are really coming back to bite Auburn in the backside now.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteONSIDE KICK! AUBURN RECOVERS!
ReplyDeleteAUBURN RECOVERS THE ONSIDE KICK WITH 2:02 LEFT!
ReplyDeleteMcCalebb to the 2!
ReplyDeleteTOUCHDOWN AUBURN!
ReplyDeleteTouchdown Auburn! 30 seconds left.
ReplyDeleteTouchdown is under review. Going to be difficult to overturn this.
ReplyDeleteSurprising Utah State did not call timeout there.
ReplyDeleteThey are going to have to add time to that clock. No way did it take Utah State 13 seconds to call timeout.
ReplyDeleteUtah State blew their load early.
ReplyDeleteAlso Marcus Allen looks like a robot on the FSN Studio Show. I think he's plugged into the wall.
This has gotta be a series of crazy laterals, right?
ReplyDeleteWow. Tough loss for Utah State to swallow.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Auburn for their last minute comeback against Utah State! A team of champions, indeed.
ReplyDelete/sarcasm
Brandon Meriweather got cut by the Patriots? Someone's going to sign him, no?
ReplyDeleteI'll be right back.
ReplyDeleteIt's Kill Time!
ReplyDelete/Minny-USC
BOOK THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP TICKETS, ND FANS!
ReplyDeleteHow could I have forgotten to congratulate anOSU on their first win since 2009?
ReplyDeleteTD Western Michigan on their 1st series
Derp Notre Dame
ReplyDeletetyhildenbrandt Ty Hildenbrandt
ReplyDeleteThrough half a quarter, Don Criqui has now referred to South Florida as "Florida State" on the radio 4 times.
Soldier Field thinks the turf in South Bend sucks.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for the Urban Meyer era in Notre Dame!
ReplyDelete@Keith You're already counting down?
ReplyDelete@Kris: No, but I'm sure ND fans are.
ReplyDeleteSac State holding their own against Oregon State through the 2nd quarter.
ReplyDeleteNotre Dame can't get out of their own way.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure the Dayne Crist era at ND will be remembered as fondly as the Gary Godsey one.
ReplyDeleteBruce Feldman already making an appearance on the CBS College halftime studio update.
ReplyDeleteI thought this Ole Miss-BYU game would be a good game. It's still early, but this game is hard on the eyes.
ReplyDelete14-3 SACRAMENTO STATE OVER OREGON STATE!
ReplyDeleteEagles cut Joselio Hanson. I'm sure Keith won't be able to sleep at night wondering what team will pick him up.
ReplyDeleteHoly crap, Dan Hicks and Mike Mayock. Too. Much. Pink.
ReplyDeleteI found RJBO!
ReplyDeletehttp://30fps.mocksession.com/2011/09/03/2011-september-3-17-5-50/
I miss RJBO :(
ReplyDeleteKiffin is trying his hardest to give this game to Minnesota.
ReplyDeleteHouston-UCLA has been an interesting game.
ReplyDeleteSac State up 21-6 on Oregon State in the 4th quarter. Please hold on Hornets.
ReplyDeleteI had to take a nap. Sorry. I had a real long day today.
ReplyDeleteDick Stockton and Tim McCarver in the booth together in Boston. Yeah.
ReplyDeleteI don't like this new Cal QB. He throws the ball like Shaun Hill.
ReplyDelete#DeadDuck
SACRAMENTO STATE BEATS OREGON STATE!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe BYU as an independent experiment is off to a winning start.
ReplyDeleteWhat is Musberger wearing?
ReplyDeleteThe uniforms in the BSU-Georgia game are horrible.
ReplyDeleteGus Johnson on FX right now.
ReplyDeleteThe Phillies and the Marlins had a 1 hour and 45 minute delay only to play in pouring rain anyway. This is going to be a disaster. Sun Life Stadium is a shitsack baseball stadium.
ReplyDeleteCharles Davis must be thinking, "this is so much better than doing NFL games with Dick Stockton."
ReplyDeleteThe end of Notre Dame-South Florida is being moved to Versus.
ReplyDeleteOregon imploding in this 2nd quarter.
ReplyDeleteHave I mentioned how terrible Sun Life Stadium is as a baseball stadium?
ReplyDeleteI think our old friend Captain Cocktacular has discovered The Good Phight.......
ReplyDeleteSeriously, Justin?
ReplyDeleteThe SEC has seen better days than today.
ReplyDelete@ Keith: Yep. Or someone very much like him.
ReplyDeleteAfter posting comments about X-rated things he wants to do his sister and Roy Halladay, this troll pulled out the n-word and posted a picture of two naked guys doing it.
He was finally banned after that.
ReplyDelete@Justin: Have you seen the Pac12 today? Both Oregon schools have looked like shit and USC needed a last minute INT to beat Minnesota.
ReplyDelete@ Keith: But the SEC is the bestest football conference ever!
ReplyDelete/SEC fan'd
//But I guess they will live vicariously through LSU now
///This year could get real good
No complaining about Maryland's uniforms after watching Georgia's tonight.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I enjoyed when Nessler called Boise, "TCU".
ReplyDeleteWow, Brent Musburger. Just wow.
ReplyDelete
