Foul Ball: Epic Pitching Fails

Washington 6, Seattle 5: Seattle had a 5-1 lead going into the bottom of the ninth. The game probably should have been wrapped up right? Wrong. Mariners closer Brandon League brought out his gas can and gave up three runs while only recording two outs. David Pauley didn't exactly extinguish the fire. In fact, Pauley added kerosene to the fire. He wanted roasted marshmallows. Pauley gave up a hit and then gave up the game-winning two-run home run to Wilson Ramos. A four-run lead in the bottom of the ninth, gone within two outs.

Boston 4, San Diego 5: Anthony Rizzo, the main player the Padres traded for in the Adrian Gonzalez deal, broke the Red Sox hearts with the game-winning RBI single in the seventh inning. Also of note, Big Papi stole a base in this game. (Big Papi stolen base video via the Sports Grid)

Pittsburgh 9, Baltimore 3: Neil Walker drove in three runs to go along with two runs apiece from Jose Tabata, Garrett Jones, and Xavier Paul. The Pirates and Orioles wore their jersey's from the 1971 World Series. This might be just me, but the Orioles should go back to wearing these hats.

Atlanta 5, Toronto 1: Mike Minor broke a nine-game starting losing streak on Tuesday night. Minor went seven innings giving up five hits and one run. Brian McCann blasted a two-run home run and Jason Heyward knocked in two runs.

New York 3, Oakland 7: The A's now have won 6 games in a row. Jemile Weeks was the star for the A's by reaching base three times, scoring all three times he was on base, and stealing two bags. Josh Outman's only mistake of the night was the home run he gave up to Jason Bay, but other than that he had a stellar night for the A's.

San Francisco 2, Minnesota 8: We will never speak of this game again. You fucking hear me?!?!?

St. Louis 2, Philadelphia 10: At least Bumgarner didn't give up nine runs in the eighth inning after going into that inning with a lead

Florida 5, Anaheim 2: The Marlins now have their second win in the month of June and Jack McKeon's first win since returning as the manager. Javier Vazquez gave up ten hits in 5.1 innings of work, but somehow never gave up an run. The Angels left 13 men on base and hit into two double plays.

Video of the Day: Bob Uecker's classic hall of fame speech.
