Who: Stanford Cardinal vs. Virginia Tech Hokies
What: Orange Bowl
Where: Miami, Florida
When: Tonight at 5:30 PT/8:30 ET
TV: ESPN
Announcing: Mike Tirico, Ron Jaworski, and Jon Gruden, SR: Michele Tafoya
My Pick: Virginia Tech
Notes: If God loves me, Stanford loses this game, Andrew Luck declares for the NFL, and Jim Harbaugh takes the Raiders job and flames out and has to take his old job back at San Diego University. I would just take a Hokies win tonight, but I know Virginia Tech will find someway to choke in this game. It's just fate. God wants Jim Harbaugh and Pete Carroll to mock me in my sleep.
@ Keith: I bet you must be giddy at the rumors that the 49ers are in the mix for Jim Harbaugh. ;-)
ReplyDelete@Justin: I'd rather have Harbaugh than Billick.
ReplyDelete/Prepares myself for the Niners to name Billick their coach.
//I have a post tomorrow that involves all four of us and our head coaches.
Herbie & Palmer both confidently pick the Hokies. I'm feeling much better about taking Stanford tonight.
ReplyDeletethose VPI helmets are an eyesore
ReplyDeleteWho has a bigger camel toe? Gruden or Jaws?
ReplyDeleteI wish ESPN would quit showing the furd-Cal highlights. I'm about two seconds away from punching a hole in my wall.
ReplyDeleteBrando tweet: "I picked Va. Tech, but since they are not playing Syracuse is (helmet reference) guess I'll go with Stanford. Another annoying uniform gaffe"
ReplyDeletegotta question that fake punt call
ReplyDelete"You can't out Beamerball Beamerball." - Mike Tirico
ReplyDeleteIt's great hearing Gary Thorne do hockey again, even if the US is getting it's ass handed to it by Canada.
ReplyDeleteHaha furd
ReplyDeleteI missed a safety?
ReplyDeleteTaylor looked out of bounds on the live shot.
ReplyDeleteI guess no review.
ReplyDeleteGood news! Ron Franklin did not call Jeanine Edwards "sweetcakes." He said "sweet baby," instead.
ReplyDelete/Old man Ron forgot his lesson from Holly Rowe
Giddy up Elway
ReplyDeleteHeh. Tirico was talking about how well they support VaTech and the camera pans up to a bunch of empty seats.
ReplyDeleteTouchdown Fleener.
ReplyDeleteJaws: "John Harbaugh...I mean Jim Harbaugh. I'm sure John's watching at home."
I didn't expect anything less from VT.
ReplyDeleteTirico: "And a Bang-Bang-Bang from the Cardinal." #MichaelReghi
ReplyDeletei am enjoying this game so, so much
ReplyDeleteword verification: codeine, or what Keith may OD on tonight, if Stanford keeps rolling like this
Jim Drunkenmiller must be VT's offensive coordinator. #Lowblow
ReplyDeleteFleener!
ReplyDeleteAnother TD for Fleener. Yikes, VaTech.
ReplyDeleteI'm done watching this crap. #bitter
ReplyDeleteHow nice of VaTech to become an honorary Big Ten member for a night.
ReplyDeleteSend Va Tech back to the Big Least.
ReplyDeleteGruden: "Fortunately for Tyrod Taylor, he's got ice water in his veins." #14-27AtTheTime
ReplyDeletei hope Keith didn't see that sign reading:
ReplyDeleteStanford: Character & Cruelty
The early NBC game (Saints-Seahawks) will be called by Tom Hammond and Mike Mayock, with Alex Flanagan sideline reporting.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness it's not Theismann and Gibbs again.
Tirico: "that's the hat trick for Coby Fleener'
ReplyDeleteSign: "Elway Stenstrom Plunkett Now...Luck."
ReplyDeleteTirico: "I think Harbaugh's gonna end up in the NFL. That's just a gut. If I had a gut..."
