Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck, the odds-on favorite to be the No. 1 pick in this spring's NFL draft, announced Thursday that he will stay in school and play his redshirt junior season. "I am committed to earning my degree in architectural design from Stanford University and am on track to accomplish this at the completion of the spring quarter of 2012," Luck said in a statement. The school announced that Luck wouldn't be made available for comment.I'm not going to kill the kid for staying in school. He's getting a free education at Stanford! Do you know how many kids would kill for that opportunity? The big question coming out of this decision is what will Jim Harbaugh do now. Will he continue to chase NFL money or return to Stanford to coach a potential Heisman winner and a team that could be favored to win the National Championship? Gut feeling is that Harbaugh will chase the NFL money. There isn't a booster at Stanford that would poney up big money to keep Harbaugh in Palo Alto. Phil Knight or T. Boone Pickens isn't walking on the Stanford campus. Harbaugh is good as gone and he'll probably land in Miami.
