Video: The Latest 30 For 30 Doc Is Perfectly Timed

The ESPN 30 for 30 documentary series has been fantastic. From the Two Escobars to The U to The Best That Never Was, this documentary series has been fantastic. Yeah there were a couple of stinkers like the fantasy doc, but the series has mostly been great. Watching the trailer for the final 30 for 30 doc, the Pony Excess, the series ends with a bang.

Uncle Verne, Musberger, and yes the despicable Craig James are all interviewed for this documentary about the many scandals that plagued the SMU Mustangs that lead to the NCAA giving them the Death Penalty. I personally can't wait for this documentary to premiere on December 11th at 9PM ET.

I say this documentary is perfectly timed because it premiers right after the Heisman ceremony where Cameron Newton is the front-runner to win the award. A movie that discusses one of the worst scandals ever will premiere after Cam Newton will most likely win the Heisman, a player who was being investigated by the NCAA. Yes, I would say this doc is perfectly timed. I can't wait to watch it just to listen to Uncle Verne's Burl Ives (RJBO'd) take on SMU.
