The announcing schedule via Awful Announcing.
Thursday, November 11th
Pittsburgh at Connecticut, ESPN (7:30 PM ET)- Nothing like spending your Veterans Day with the Wannstache. It's unbelievable to think about, but Pittsburgh is most likely going to win the Big East. Which of course means they get an automatic berth into a BCS game. Yes, Pittsburgh will get to go to a BCS game for simply winning their terrible conference while Boise State and TCU are at the mercy of the computers, voters, and the bowls who make the selections. I've never been a big college football playoff guy, but this sport does definitely need one.
Friday, November 12th
No. 4 Boise State at Idaho, ESPN2/ESPN3D (9:00 PM ET)- This might be the last time these two rival schools play each other. If that's not enough to watch Idaho plays inside a building called the Kibbie Dome, which looks like an airplane hanger from the inside. Boise State will need to blow out Idaho to keep pace with TCU in the polls.
Saturday, November 13th
No. 13 Iowa at Northwestern, ESPN (12:00 PM ET) - Northwestern isn't as bad as their conference standing says. They lost close games to Purdue and Michigan State and had a big lead on Penn State before blowing it. Will the Wildcats beat Iowa? Probably not, but this should at least be a close game.
No. 24 Kansas State at No. 17 Missouri, FSN-National (12:30 PM ET)- Amazingly Kansas State beat up Texas last week with only 9 passing yards total for the game. I'm thinking they'll need more passing yards to beat a better Missouri team.
Georgia at No. 2 Auburn, CBS (3:30 PM ET) - I'm only suggesting watching this game because I think Auburn is going to lose a game before the end of the season. Georgia is coming off a bye and they didn't play that badly against Florida in their last game. I would like Georgia even more if this game was played in Athens.
Penn State at No. 9 Ohio State, ABC/ESPN (3:30 PM ET) - This game is always good. While Penn State has had some early ugly loses, they've improved greatly as the year has gone on. They came back from 21-points down last week to beat Northwestern. Once again I would like the dog in this game if it was played in Happy Valley.
No. 19 Mississippi State at No. 12 Alabama, ESPN2 (7:15 PM ET) - This game has become intriguing since it was pointed out that Dan Mullen was the one who ratted out Auburn. The Bama fans might give Mullen an standing ovation for ratting out their rival. As for the game itself, I would say watch it but beware that this game will be called by Mark Jones and Bob Davie.
No. 23 South Carolina at No. 22 Florida, ESPN (7:15 PM ET) - Spurrier returns to the swamp along with Stephen Garcia and South Carolina. Whoever wins this game will win the SEC East, even though both teams have three conference loses. Tells you have uneven the SEC has been this year. One thing is for sure, no matter where Spurrier coaches he'll always be loved in Gainesville.
No. 1 Oregon at California, Versus/Versus-3D (7:30 PM ET) - I'm not saying Cal will pull off the upset, but they're a completely different team at home. They're offense and defense comes alive at home. It's amazing to watch. Cal has been blown out on the road and they go back home and they look completely different. If Oregon is going to lose a game this year, it will be this one.
No. 21 Nevada at Fresno State, ESPN (10:30 PM ET) - Nothing quite like a little late night West Coast games. The Nevada pistol offense is something you have to see at least once a year. When the Nevada offense is rolling, it's truly beautiful to watch. I do suggest staying up late and watching this game.
Recipes of the Week, Baked Potato Soup- With the weather turning colder, nothing is better than hot soup. I'm also a sucker for potatoes, so the baked potato soup sounds delicious. Reading the directions and the recipes, this doesn't sound like a hard meal to prepare and cook. I might try it this weekend.
Alcoholic Beverage of the Week, White Russian: If you remember watching the movie "The Big Lebowski" you'll remember that 'The Dude' drank a
