Tonight is a big sports night. Monday Night Football, NBA, NHL, and college basketball tips-off tonight. College basketball tips-off with the Coaches vs. Cancer tournament. This is the tournament that is designed to have top basketball programs meet in Madison Square Garden for the championship by having those top teams play teams like UC Irvine and Seattle. It's usually a fun little tournament. I'm just happy that college basketball has returned. As always enjoy the game you're watching, leave comments, and don't be a troll.

ReplyDeleteURI riding a hot start from 3 and Akeem Richmond's 14 points to a 7 point lead late in the 1st half.
ReplyDeleteI'm really impressed with Rhode Island in the 1st half.
ReplyDeleteAlso, are the Fire Joe Morgan guys breaking open the champagne tonight?
What a surge by the Panthers to take the lead. Some silly shots & fouls from URI helped.
ReplyDeleteHahaha, Kris.
Lowell Galindo: "Did you see Jamie Dixon's hair? It's still in place."
ReplyDeletemaybe URI needs to be introduced to the concept of transition defense?
ReplyDeleteGruden on Big Ben: "This guy's like sacking an oak tree."
ReplyDelete"It's...comin' at ya....NEXT!...on Comcast...SportsNet!"
ReplyDeleteIt took all of 10 seconds for my Michael Reghi hate to be rekindled
I'm watching the UC Irvine-Illinois game on ESPN3 (I don't have ESPNU) and the color commentator just said Illinois has the most talented team in the nation.
ReplyDeleteI know they're talented, but the most talented?
does Reghi always dress like he's a mob consigliere?
ReplyDelete/black pinstripe suit'd
I've stopped listening to Reghi's radio show, unless Browns fans start talking about the playoffs (which they did today).
ReplyDelete@RJBO did Reghi do it from DC today?
ReplyDeleteKenny Roda did it solo (he normally co-hosts with Reghi); Browns fans are hilarious at times.
ReplyDeleteWhy is the Comcast Center look so empty?
ReplyDeleteWow, that's Dickey Simpkins on the Illini game?
ReplyDeleteNice to see Dino Gaudio land on his feet, doing the Oakland-WVU game on ESPN3.com Friday.
wow. Cameron Dollar is the Seattle coach.
ReplyDelete@Keith MD struggles to sell out its non conference games, unless it's a big name opponent.
'The Coaches vs Cancer classic--the OUTSTANDING marketing arm of the Gazelle Group..." -- Reghi
ReplyDeletehe knows how to sell
I see what you guys mean about Reghi. His voice makes my skin crawl.
ReplyDelete"Dino Gregory said get that STUFF OUTTA HERE!" --Reghi
ReplyDeletePanthers continues to get easy baskets against URI. It's still only a 3 point Pittsburgh lead.
ReplyDelete@Keith he did Orioles games for 7 years... his style did not work at all with a terrible team
ReplyDeleteWhy does he host a talk show in Cleveland?
ReplyDeleteKeith, he used to do the games for the Cavaliers before Dan Gilbert fired him.
ReplyDeleteSounds like Maryland is his last opportunity...........
ReplyDeleteGreat back and forth game in Pittsburgh, with the Panthers & Rams exchanging leads.
ReplyDelete@Keith, RJBO the Wizards/Comcast have hired Reghi to do some of their games this year.
ReplyDelete"Their swag radar is very high"-- Ronnie Thompson
ReplyDeletewhere's Whitlock when you need him?
Bungals fumble the opening kickoff and of course Pittsburgh recovers.
ReplyDeleteNo spin move by Mendenhall on that screen pass? #sportspickleTweet
ReplyDeleteTouchdown Steelers as Pittsburgh capitalizes on the botched kickoff
ReplyDeleteWhenever URI's Malesevic commits a foul, the Oakland Zoo chants "U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A!"
ReplyDeleteURI continues to keep it relatively close, down 70-65 with 4:27 left.
ReplyDeleteA game effort from the Rams, but I think they're cooked
ReplyDeleteBLOCKED!!!
ReplyDelete"A special teams fiasco in the first 5 minutes"-Tirico
Another special teams fail by the Bungals.
ReplyDeleteDelroy James' 3 cuts the Panthers lead to 74-71.
ReplyDeleteCoaches vs. Cancer tournament.
ReplyDeleteI hope the Coaches win.
I have to go guys. Have fun.
ReplyDeleteSee ya, Keith!
ReplyDeleteReid Gettys is doing Navy-Texas? I bet he thinks the Cowboys can still win the NFC East. #MichiganIsStillABubbleTeam
ReplyDelete"It should also be noted that James Harrison is a tender, unselfish lover" -Jon Gruden
ReplyDeleteJaws after an in-booth demo on hits: "I want to smash you, by the way."
ReplyDeleteGruden: "I'd knock you out."
Claude Giroux signed a contract extension with the Flyers!!!
ReplyDeleteMy pants are a little sticky all of a sudden.....
Hines Ward fumble! Cincy Ball!
ReplyDeleteDon't look now, but Terrell Owens is still a top 10 receiver in the NFL.
ReplyDeleteWhat the Hell was that, T.O.?
ReplyDeleteDoes Mendenhall do anything other than spin?
ReplyDelete"Reds, sign him up!" - Mike Tirico
ReplyDelete"That's Batman getting an assist from Robin! That's what I want to see!" - Jon Gruden
ReplyDeleteGruden: "That's Batman getting an assist from Robin."
ReplyDeleteThis is the 1st penalty and Ron Winter's involved? #longley
ReplyDeleteGeez Palmer....
ReplyDeleteTirico: "Marvin Lewis will throw the challenge fag...flag."
ReplyDelete"Marvin Lewis will throw the challenge fag, challenge flag." - Mike Tirico
ReplyDeleteRon Winter going to the Ed Hochuli School of Explanations. Refreshing.
ReplyDeleteBTW, great that The Generalissimo didn't fine (or suspend) anyone for that Austin Collie hit.
Andy Reid is embarrassed by that challenge.
ReplyDelete@ RJBO: Agreed. A refreshing surprise, as I was sure he would lose 50K, just because they want to crackdown and severely punish so much.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that Mark Collins had a more blatant hit in the Dallas game later also helped.

ReplyDeleteGreat catch by Hines Ward for the TD!
ReplyDeleteMike Nugent is wide left on that 51 yard attempt.
ReplyDeleteJeff Reed nails a 53 yard FG. 20-7 Steelers near halftime.
ReplyDeleteWow, Mike Nugent.
ReplyDeleteMarvin Lewis needs to be fired now. I never knew a team with T.O. and Chad Ochocinco could be this unoriginal and unimaginative.
ReplyDeleteDoes Ochocinco even have a catch? He took off those gold cleats because he didn't have one in the 1st half.
ReplyDeleteJaws: "Terrell Owens appears the be the only Bengal playing inspired football."
ReplyDeleteGruden on Harrison: "He's like a NASCAR racecar."
ReplyDeleteAntwaan Randle El >> Carson Palmer
ReplyDeleteI'm watching Conan.
ReplyDeleteSeth Rogen? It's not all roses und sunshine for Conan...
ReplyDeleteI have a 2-page paper to finish tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThat Seth Rogan segment might be a good time to focus on that.
T.O. just nailed a security guard on his TD catch.
ReplyDeleteRoy Williams picks off Big Ben. Bengals with a pulse, plus a dumb personal foul by Flozell Adams.
ReplyDeleteGeez Steelers. A chintzy roughing the passer call on Casey Hampton, now T.O. whines his way to a PI in the end zone.
ReplyDeleteThe NFL has become a joke. I can't wait for the 18 game schedule...
ReplyDeleteAl Riveron thought that was a late TD signal.
ReplyDeleteNow the Bengals are within a touchdown
ReplyDeleteThat 18-game schedule is a disaster waiting to happen.
ReplyDeleteStu: "If it's under 45 (degrees), the gloves come out."
ReplyDeleteWhy not throw on 3rd and 6 with the lead late? #DrewStanton #Lions
ReplyDeleteJeff Reed is wide left!
ReplyDeleteI picked the right time to come home from dinner.
ReplyDeleteWhat a juggling catch by Benson!
ReplyDeleteEasy PI against Ike Taylor.
ReplyDeleteThe Bengals actually have all three timeouts. Andy Reid isn't impressed.
ReplyDeleteT.O. took a shot and still made the catch!
ReplyDeleteThat was the T.O. I remembered from his SF days. Not afraid to get hit.
ReplyDeleteOh Gresham.
ReplyDeleteGurden channeling Stockton and Nantz by calling it a "shot clock"
ReplyDeleteLast chance time for Cincy.
ReplyDeleteThrow it short here.
ReplyDeletePASS INTERFERENCE?
ReplyDeleteWhy would you throw into double coverage to a rookie?
ReplyDeleteIncomplete. Game (and season) over for the Bungles.
ReplyDeleteCincy just knows how to lose...
ReplyDeleteI beat Kris in fantasy football. ;-)
